From walking, to Golf, to sailing on Lake Geneva, Wine Tours and Tasting, taking the Train into the Mountains, there is a lot to do in Switzerland in the Summer.
We visited Gruyere, Monteux, Lavaux, and Lausanne. We also went to a Swiss Chocolate Factory, saw Cheese being made, took a Sunset Cruise along Lake Geneva and played some golf.
Not only that but the Country is absolutely stunning!

The Verrée Vaudoise
Chillon Castle has recently opened a new venue for tasting its Clos de Chillon wine, its Grand Cru.
The Verrée Vaudoise is available in the Castellan’s Dining-room, ready to be pulled out and enable tasting and discovery of the castle’s wine and regional traditions for visitors to Switzerland’s most visited historical monument.
Since 2011, the castle has reconnected with its past and now has some forty barrels of wine in its underground cellar.
While wine-tastings after guided tours had been organised in an informal manner previously, growing visitor demand has resulted in a specifically dedicated wine-tasting venue in the castle.
From April to October, a thirty-minute wine-tasting is offered at the end of the guided tour, for groups up to 30 visitors.
This unique custom-fitted private space was financed with the valuable contribution of the Friends of Chillon Castle and of Henri Badoux SA - Vins.
The Verrée Vaudoise venue is reserved exclusively for wine-tastings following a guided tour of the castle.

Bonjour!
Our trip around Lake Geneva continues as we visit the lovely vineyard terraces of Lavaux stretching for about 30 km along the shores of Lake Geneva. Come with us for a walk from Chexbres towards Vevey and have a look at the stunning views of the lake, vineyards, Swiss Alps and even France on the other side of the lake!
It is an outstanding example of a centuries-long interaction between people and their environment, developed to optimize local resources so as to produce a highly valued wine that has always been important to the economy.
Santé / Cheers!

Lake Geneva: Food Guide
Cheese. Lake fish. Chasselas grapes. Chevreuil. Mushrooms. There's so much good food in the Lake Geneva region, you need to come with an appetite! I toured through Vevey's Farmer's Market, the farms of the Pays D'enhaut, tasting the cheeses of Château-d'Oex, Michelin restaurants L'Auberge de L'Onde & La Brasserie at the Royal Savoy Hotel and sipped wines in Lavaux. Don't miss the lake fish, the family run wineries and vineyards in Lavaux, like Domaine du Croix Duplex, and the amazing cheeses!
C Varonier & Söhne AG, Varen, Wallis | SWISS WINE DIRECTORY
Very few people in Varen thought that Andy Varonier would one day take the helm at the family estate. Andy began his career as a goalkeeper for Sion FC and then worked in the automobile industry. On the strength of these experiences, Andy now pours his enthusiasm into managing the cellar founded by his grandfather César Varonier, and has brought about many innovations. In particular, Andy has taken on a cellar master by the name of Jamie McCulloch, a young Scottish oenologist. The two visionary men share the same approach to quality. And initial results confirm what they believe in so strongly; wines from the Varonier estate show great potential and are already highly prized by connoisseurs.
