Silver Streak Food and Wine Train: Australian Trains
On the first Saturday of each month, the Daylesford Spa Country Railway operates the Silver Streak food and wine train to Bullarto and return with air-conditioned railcar DRC40.
DRC40 was originally built in the 1970's by Tulloch for long distance passenger services in Victoria and offers a higher standard of travel than the Sunday tourist trains.
This video features a number of lineside scenes on 1 February 2014 along the picturesque Daylesford to Bullarto line in Victoria's central highlands region. At 2452ft above sea level, Bullarto is also the highest railway station in Victoria.

Diesel Electric Rail Motor 63RM ran the heritage services on the Daylesford Spa Country Railway on a cold and wet 24 June 2012. This video features the first train for the day at Daylesford station and at several locations along the line.

Official Reopening - Daylesford to Bullarto: Australian Trains
On 15 March 2014, the Daylesford Spa Country Railway ran a special from Daylesford to Bullarto and return to officially re-open the railway line following the completion of reconstruction works after the 2009 bushfires.
The train left Daylesford mid afternoon with members plus invited guests and several locations are filmed enroute, including the arrival at Bullarto, complete with detonators to celebrate the occasion.
At Bullarto, the DSCR secretary Bill McClenaghan opens proceedings followed by DSCR president Stuart Smithwick and then the Mayor of Hepburn Shire Cr. Don Henderson to cut the ribbon.
The final sequence of shots shows 91RM at Bullarto followed by the return run to Daylesford.

Tulloch 600hp Diesel Rail Car DRC40 at Daylesford: Australian Trains
This is just a short video of the Daylesford Spa Country Railway's preserved 1970's Tulloch diesel rail car DRC40 running from the storage shed to the platform at Daylesford prior to running a members Christmas special on 10 December 2011.
Also included at the start of the video are the crew heading out to the shed in a Comeng trolley formerly used by Australian National Railways on the standard gauge.
These railcars operated on the mainline until early 1994 when they were withdrawn and replaced by the newer Sprinters. At the time of writing DRC40 is the only one in operational condition and regularly runs the Silver Streak food and wine train on the first Saturday of the month from Daylesford station (

Silver Streak returns to Bullarto - 4 Jan 2014: Australian Trains
Saturday 4 January 2014 was the first run of the Daylesford Spa Country Railway's Silver Streak food and wine train to Bullarto since the February 2009 bushfires. DRC40 was originally built in the 1970's by Tulloch for long distance passenger services in Victoria and offers a higher standard of travel than the Sunday tourist trains.

Rail services to Bullarto resumed on 29 December 2013 following reconstruction works by Daylesford Spa Country Railway volunteers between Musk and Bullarto during 2012 and 2013.

DRC40 with The Silver Streak: Australian Trains
A short video featuring restored diesel railcar DRC40 at the Daylesford Spa Country Railway in central Victoria running the first Saturday of the month Silver Streak food and wine train.
The video commences at Daylesford with the railcar idling in the platform. The next scene shows DRC40 rounding the curve onto the straight near Lyman St with the outbound trip followed by DRC40 rounding dead mans curve with the return trip.
