Wineglass Bay Cruises
Magnificent granite cliff faces, whales, dolphins, birdlife, white sand, open air and tranquil unspoiled Tasmanian coastlines.... it is impossible to capture the magnificence of the Freycinet Peninsula, but this vid from Wineglass Bay Cruises gives it a red hot go!
Wineglass Bay Cruise
We were blessed with a fantastic Tasmanian summers day and headed out from Coles Bay on our day tour with Wineglass Bay Cruises. This most certainly is a spectacular cruise taking in the unspoilt and rugged beauty of Freycinet National Park and of course the iconic Wineglass Bay. The kids young and old were thrilled to have 30+ dolphins bow riding the boats wave, jumping out of the water and having a jolly old time. The Australian Seals perched on the rocks were amusing to watch as they jumped into the water and frolicked in the water. Lunch while in Wineglass Bay was delicious and a cool refreshing amber ale washed it all down nicely. We had a fantastic family day out.
WINEGLASS Bay Hike ~ Freycinet Peninsula, Tasmania
Today I got up super early to explore Wineglass Bay Lookout and then hiked through to Hazards Beach, before arriving back at the carpark just as the tourist busses rocked up. I also stopped for lunch at the Bangor Wine & Oyster Shed, where I ate some delicious oysters in a beautiful outdoor setting.
See the tranquil Tasmanian beach from the lookout and enjoy the beautiful scenery from my hike. The Freycinet Peninsula was one of the real highlights of my trip over!

Wineglass Bay - Wild Tasmania Ep. 2
Wineglass Bay is a very special horseshoe shaped beach in Freycinet National Park in Tasmania. This was one of the most beautiful beaches we've seen and because you must hike into it there are very few people on it. We also hiked to the top of Mt Amos and Mt Graham on either side of Wineglass Bay. Both were incredible hikes that were well worth it!
