Wisconsin Auto Museum, Hartford Wisconsin USA
This little slide show shows is just a hand full of the vehicles found at the Wisconsin Auto Museum in Hartford Wisconsin. This is a great place to visit, and be able to see some vehicles as they are when they come in before restoration. The people that do these vehicles have the ability to produce jaw dropping results. Some vehicles take a very long time to complete, but really really worth it once they are done.

Wisconsin Automotive Museum . Hartford wis . 10-26-13
I have this museum pretty much in my back yard . I've been there a few times over the years. But always seem to see or learn something new .
A car Co. called Kissel was from Hartford . They built higher end cars back in the teen's to the 30's . Also making trucks for WW1 . Out of the 35,000 car built from 09 - 31. Only 150 complete cars are know to exist .
The museum is also chucked full of neat vintage signs and tooling . Along with many other makes of cars . There is also a nice Nash display , Nash , also from wisconsin Kenosha , which later became AMC , then chrysler .
I normaly would do this in the winter for something to do . But a good friend of mines car club was having there club party on saturday . And the kick off was at the museum . He invited me to come along . Had a great time , and a fun night . Thank you to the KLIK car club for the fun day .
Hartford is about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee , and if in the area . Would be a great place to check out .

Around the Corner with John McGivern | Program | Hartford (#301)
[Latest Airdate: May 4, 2017]
[Original Airdate: January 9, 2014]
Such a terrific start for Season 3! Not every community actually has planes, trains and automobiles, but Hartford has all that and more one-of-a-kinds than we could even count. In addition to the Schauer Center and the Wisconsin Automotive Museum, you can grab a treat at Scoop deVille, a bite at the Mineshaft or a nap at one of the most comfortable B&B's we've ever seen. And there's big stuff in Hartford, too. Ever heard of Sno-Way? The people in China have. How about Broan-NuTone? Just look around your kitchen.
John thinks he may have discovered his true calling in Hartford, but don't worry parents, your children are safe. We won't let John get his CDL! But we won't stop him from future geocaching (but he will buy hiking boots before he does it again!), or from trying to coach the Dream Team dancers. Cheerleading is just in his blood, and John cheers loud for Hartford! Yay!

DVD Preview - Wisconsin Steam Stories
Here is a preview of our DVD featuring steam locomotives in action - all in Wisconsin! There are four chapters on the DVD:
Grand Scale Steam Railways Of Wisconsin - Grand Scale describes a miniature railway large enough for the operator to ride inside the locomotive. This story presents three of the state's Grand Scale railways: the Riverside & Great Northern, the Milwaukee Zoo, and the Whiskey River. These locomotives may be small, but they work and sound like their big brothers. We also explore the history of building Grand Scale equipment in Wisconsin by yesterday's Sandley Works and today's Merrick Light Railway Equipment Works.
261 In Wisconsin - This story covers several trips in different years made by Milwaukee Road 261, focusing primarily on round trips between Milwaukee and New Lisbon. This was home territory for the big Northern when it was still in service for the Milwaukee Road!
Lumberjack Special - The Laona & Northern carries passengers from its hometown to the Camp 5 Museum. Built in 1916 by Vulcan, 2-6-2 number 4 puts on a great show! We cover a day with the locomotive, beginning with the engine crew starting the fire, greasing, washing, then operating out on the line (including a cab ride), and back into the barn for the night.
Soo Line 1003 Photo Freight - 1003 is a 2-8-2 Mikado type locomotive, built in 1913 by the American Locomotive Company. Our two-day photo charter was the last one for 1003 before rebuilding. We had a glorious October weekend. The images of 1003 and her train are stunning as the special worked its way between Hartford and Fairwater on the Wisconsin & Southern. Lots of runbys!
Running time approximately 110 minutes - Multiple tripod-mounted hi-fdef cameras - Minimal narration.

Around the Corner with John McGivern | Program | Mitchell Street (#305)
[Latest Airdate: June 1, 2017]
[Original Airdate: February 6, 2014]
We have never, ever, experienced vibrancy and diversity like we did on Mitchell Street. We met business owners from Pakistan, India, Mexico and Australia, a priest from France, a transplant from Chicago, not to mention lifelong Milwaukeeans who have chosen to call Mitchell Street their home for generations.
Naan bread was a favorite, the Quinceanera gowns were amazing, and the Mexican boots were almost unbelievable! And the $99 suit and long raccoon coat have certainly found a home in John McGivern's closet by now! The wig, however, we made him promise to never put on again!
This is one of those communities that everyone thinks they know, but you really need to become reacquainted with Historic Mitchell Street. It has so much to offer!

Dana Point Concours d'Elegance - Concours d'Tour o'Duty
Dana Point CA, Jun 23 2013 - Dana Point Concours d'Elegance - St. Regis Monarch Beach
Exclusive clubs often attract the most interesting characters. Chairman of the Board Mark Buehler (while fitting that profile perfectly) makes a good case that the 31st Dana Point Concours d'Elegance is being exclusively inclusive in putting on a good show for everyone. With related activities over three days, it's a destination event - not just an afternoon stroll in the park. The 2013 show was armed with an honoring the military theme - suiting the region, local to Camp Pendleton and other military organizations.
Friday gave host to the first Rallye Basilone - a 40 wide classic car tour of Camp Pendleton, including lunch at the School of Infantry. The grounds of the St. Regis Monarch Beach Hotel was protected high on the hill by a wall of big artillery from the Marine Corps Mechanized Museum. This year's 3 military charities were the MARSOC Foundation (Marine Special Operations Command), Semper Fi and the Marine Scholarship Fund.
Saturday provided a Rod & Custom Show with a big turnout of the best local yokel cars - something you don't always see at a Concours. The cocktail party reception Saturday night was sponsored in part by Mercedes Benz Classic Center. South Coast Plaza provided the fashion statement - a platform show of multiple vendors' beautiful wares (the clothes were nice too)...
Showtime - over 200 perfect cars and motorcycles lined up on their paint marks on the grass. A warbird flyover provided a major distraction at high noon. Mark offered that most Concours have the reputation of being stuffy; a bunch of old white guys slinging jugs of grey poop on each other. Now, we may have a food fight, but we're just not that kind of people. We don't care. I mean, yes we care about our cars, yes they're very shiny, some of them are god-awful expensive and god-awful gorgeous; but we're just here to have fun. As much as these cars cost, you'll find those owners just as friendly as the rod and custom guys; just as friendly as the Harley guys. They may not be wearing the same leather but they love their cars. And they like talking about their cars.
Dana Point - the friendly Concours. Manoeuvers are underway for a bigger bang next year.
