Hiking Wissahickon Valley Park, Philadelphia PA
Wissahickon Valley Park - Philadelphia, PA: Part 1 of Many
The Wissahickon Valley Park, or the Wiss as us locals call it, is home to the best mountain biking in Philadelphia and likely one of the best urban trail systems in the US. Located just a few miles from downtown Philadelphia, The Wiss has nearly 30 miles of single and double track that comprise a loop which follows the walls of valleys created by the Wissahickon and Creshiem Creeks. There is terrain for all skill levels ranging from recently built flow to more old school rocky tech with everything in between. It's super easy to navigate, as you can always drop down to Forbidden Drive, a wide gravel path that follows the creek from one end to the other, which allows for a bail out to get back to the car.
This footage was from a ride back in April of 2019 and I plan to do a few more to try and showcase the many great descents and segments of this wonderful park.

Hiking at Wissahickon Valley Park, Philadelphia
A day of hiking on a beautiful day at Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, about 2 hrs and 1/2 from NYC . Beautiful waterfalls, creek, covered bridge, hikes and the Lenape Indian chief statue, statue looking out West because the Lenape were pushed out of Philadelphia and headed West during what became known as the Delaware Westward Trek.

Wissahickon Valley Mountain Biking Part 2 - Fall Riding in Philly - Philadelphia, PA
Come along for another ride through the Wissahickon Valley on a beautiful October fall morning. The conditions this day were primo with falling leaves and tacky dirt and we got out early enough that the trails were pretty empty, letting us rip to our heart's content.
If you don't know about the Wiss...

Wissahickon Valley Park Trail
A music video, constructed by me, containing photos and video from our bike ride @ Wissahickon Valley Park Trail, Philadelphia, P.A. on 09/22/2012 - Shout to the Lord written by singer/songwriter Darlene Zschech in 1993, published by Hillsong Music Australia, performed by The Praise and Worship Band of SBBC 1999-2000.
Shout To The Lord lyrics
My Jesus, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You
Shout to the Lord
All the Earth, let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work
Of Your hands
Forever I'll love You
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares
To the promise I have
In You
My Jesus, my saviour
lord there is none like you
all of my days
i want to praise
the wonders of your mighty love
my comfort, my shelter
tower of refuge and strength
let every breathe, all that i am
never cease to worship you
shout to the lord, all the earth let us sing
power and majesty, praise to the king
montains bow down, and the seas will roar
at the sound of your name
i sing for joy at the work
of your hands
forever i'll love you
forever i'll stand
nothing compares
to the promise i have
in you.
