Fenner Nature Center: Where Nature Awaits.m4v
Located in the heart of Lansing, Michigan, Fenner Nature Center's 130 acres of urban green space is a refuge for people and wildlife alike. With over four miles of trails, including some that are paved, and a visitor center that houses hands-oc activities and a live animal exhibit, there is something for everyone at this wonderful park.
Fenner Nature Center: History in the Making
Once part of one of the Lansing area's larger farms, Fenner Nature Center is 130 acres of parkland devoted to nature and nature lovers. Sold to the city by Scott Turner with the stipulation that it be maintained in its natural state, this property has been a repreive from busy city life for over 50 years. It was transformed into an arboretum by Parks Director Carl Fenner, and later into a full-fledged nature center that offers environmental education programs, recreational opportunities, and seasonal events. Fenner Nature Center is now managed by the nonprofit Fenner Conservancy as it enters into its next 50 years. Come out and see us at Fenner Nature Center - where nature awaits.

Beautiful View in Lincoln Brick Park
The day I shot this video was one of the most enjoyable days I've had while out geocaching. Lincoln Brick Park in Grand Ledge has great trails with interesting views, a bunch of interesting history explained on signs around the park, and ten caches--two of which are mine, placed there after this visit.

The People's Temple - Texas Revisited
The People's Temple is an American rock music band. Emerging from the farm fields of mid Michigan and onto the North American music scene, these boys sure can play a tune. Was formed in 2007 by two sets of brothers: Alex Szegedy (guitar/vocals) and George Szegedy (drums) and Spencer Young (bass/vocals) and William Young (guitar/vocals). The Lansing, Michigan band met while growing up in Perry - a small town 20 minutes outside of Lansing. While still in high school the brothers became influenced by '60s psych, folk, and shoegaze, which show in the band's reverberated sound. The band started playing gigs in the Lansing area in 2008 and has since developed a reputation of performing wild stage shows, with ample guitar feedback.
The band has 7-inch EPs on Certified PR Records, Milk-n-Herpes Records and HoZac Records. Their debut LP, Sons of Stone was released in Mayl 2011 on HoZac Records. Also a 7 on Goodbye Boozy appeared in late 2011. The band's new album More For the Masses available in CD an vinyl LP is coming soon from

The People's Temple - Machine
The People's Temple is a rock and roll band that formed in 2007 in Perry, Michigan and currently is based out of Lansing, Michigan. In February 2013 Third Man Records released Never More, a 7-inch single recorded live at Third Man in Nashville. On September 25, 2014 the band released its fourth full-length album, Weekends Time on State Capital Records - the LP received a positive review from Pitchfork Media.
In a June 6, 2013 emusic 10 Bands to Watch article, writer and guitarist Lenny Kaye wrote his thoughts on the band's More for the Masses LP: Awash in reverb and mood enhancers, the People's Temple create an atmosphere truly Texas Revisited, embracing trippy International Artists like the Red Kraola and Bubble Puppy, bone-shaking a tambourine (Nevermore, Looter's Game), and mumbo-jumboing poetics (House of Fools). Alternately soaring, dislocating, unsettling and uplifting, the album culminates in the phantasmagoria of (Dark Dreams) Distant Memories, a hymn to the glories found in a millisecond's delay by way of Jane's Addiction. Pass the Kool-Aid, Kaye wrote. [2].
In February 2014 the band released Musical Garden on HoZac Records, it received positive reviews from a number of outlets, including Pitchfork Media [3]. In September it released its second full-length of 2014 when it released Weekends Time via State Capital Records. The album is the band's fourth LP and was recorded live in the studio over a three-day period.
