Tour of The Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada | Stoney Lake, Lovesick Lake & Buckhorn Lake
Stunning aerial footage of my three favorite lakes in the Kawartha chain of lakes in Ontario, Canada, part of the Trent Severn Waterway. The footage was shot in 4K, but will display here on Youtube as 1080p. If you have not yet visited or boated on the Kawartha Lakes, I highly recommend it. I have also highlighted three of my favorite places to stay on Lower Buckhorn Lake and Lovesick Lake, you will find links to their websites below.
*FYI: I am not sponsored, nor have I been paid in any way by any of the resorts/lodges that I have listed. They are all family owned & operated businesses ran by awesome people, I'm simply trying to support them.

Kirk Kove Cottage Resort in Arden, Ontario - Frontenac County
If you want a true fishing experience, you’ll love fishing at Kirk Kove Cottage Resort located in Land O’ Lakes Region of Ontario. Kirk Kove is located on Big Gull Lake- a large pristine lake on the Canadian Shield full of walleye and bass. This unspoiled, crystal clear water is one of the last natural preserved areas of Ontario. At Kirk Kove we are much more than fishing. You can also enjoy Big Gull Lake with a kayak or canoe as well as go tubing, water skiing and maybe having a picnic on the many islands.

Lake Superior Agawa Indian Rock Pictographs, Wawa Ontario
The Ojibwa Agawa Pictographs, located near Wawa Ontario, Canada, in Lake Superior Provincial Park, may be at least 150 years old and feature Mishipeshu, the great water lynx. The slide show includes Precambrian rock and foliage close-ups, and islands in Lake Superior's Agawa Bay. Thunder Song by Soulfood infers a mood of brooding, ancient spiritual forces that some call elementals or aeons.

Hey, we're Dean & Shannon (Team Dawgpound) and we love back country camping in Ontario and we're avid geocachers that started caching in 2009. So far we've done Wolf L, Crab L, Anstruther L, Rathbun L, North Rathbun L, Serpentine L, Anderson L, Rock L, Copper L, Long L, Loucks L, Compass L, Cherry L, Triangle L, plus a total of 6687m of portages.
All our gear (Tent, stoves, water filters, cookware, dishes, ect) is MSR brand and our canoe is a Nova Craft Royalex Light that we love!
