Wollaton Hall - Nottingham - England
Wollaton Hall is one of the country’s finest Elizabethan mansions, set within 500 acres of beautiful parkland. Experience stunning architecture, exhibitions, a packed events programme and an array of wildlife. Go behind the scenes on a variety of guided tours available throughout the year and on demand for groups. Other special events include costumed tours, puppet shows, craft fairs, Segway tours and our popular spooky Ghost Nights (not for the faint hearted!). Visit the Café in the Courtyard for light refreshments including freshly ground coffee, specialty teas and home made cakes. Please see our website for further information on the park and hall opening times.
Walks in Nottinghamshire: Exploring Wollaton Hall
Philip Naylor and I are off to explore Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire.
Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house of the 1580s standing on a small but prominent hill in Wollaton Park, Nottingham, England. The house is now Nottingham Natural History Museum, with Nottingham Industrial Museum in the out-buildings. The surrounding parkland has a herd of deer, and is regularly used for large-scale outdoor events such as rock concerts, sporting events and festivals.
Wollaton is a classic prodigy house, the architectural sensation of its age, though its builder was not a leading courtier and its construction stretched the resources he mainly obtained from coalmining; the original family home was at the bottom of the hill. Though much re-modelled inside, the startlingly bold exterior remains largely intact.

Wollaton Park is a deer park and home of Wollaton Hall, Nottingham Natural History Museum and Nottingham Industrial Museum in the heart of Nottingham. The enclosure of Wollaton Park required the destruction of the village of Sutton Passeys. Wollaton Park was enclosed by Henry Willoughby, 6th Baron Middleton with a 7-mile (11 km) red brick wall at the start of the nineteenth century.
Lenton Lodge is one of the Gatehouses built around the boundary of Wollaton Park. It was commissioned by Henry Willoughby, 6th Baron Middleton. It was designed by the architect Jeffry Wyatville and completed in 1825.

Walking in to Wollaton Park is like walking in to a wardrobe and coming out in another land. One day whilst visiting Nottingham University I went for a short walk and stepped through a doorway
along the busy A52 in the suburbs of Nottingham and in to what felt like a different world.
This was the last thing I expected. A stately hall, cafe, toilets, car parking, lake, lots of open land, woodland, gardens, 2 herds of deer, Red and Fallow, roaming around the grounds freely and a private golf course. This is a gem and well worth a visit.
Wollaton Hall and Deer Park Nottingham - England
In this video I visit Wollaton Hall and Deer Park in Nottingham. The hall is a grade I 16th century mansion built by Sir Francis Willoughby. Scenes from Batman film 'The Dark Knight' were also filmed outside the hall in 2011. There is a selection of rooms you can explore and you can also walk around the 500 acres of parkland surrounding the hall. Great for a day out!

A quick visit to Wollaton Park, Nottingham before we were rained off. The Hall at this park was used for the filming of The Dark Knight Rises as the latest Wayne Manor.
This park includes adventure play area's, a lake and an Industrial museum also but we were running out of time and the rain started so we did not get to include those this time.

Check out all my channels and stuff online...
My most normal channel of the lot which contains my MCM Expo videos, Midlands Cosplayers Meets, other outings, and a few mad random videos. My manga videos and Tonyo Questioned series are on here. The most sensible of all my channels.
My first YouTube channel is now back on the net. It's back on now with a topic a week, from Monday to Friday, I do a video every day. Weekends has older Nightowl Darksky videos and video responses.
I'm one seventh of TCT, putting my videos up every Thursday. We have themed weeks every two weeks, and I consider myself lucky to make videos with 6 excellent people.
My controversial channel. If you're a hater, this is the channel for you. It's games, along with a few crazy JohnBoy videos and the classic Hellmeadow series. You want to be rude, I'll be rude back to you here.
This is completely random, and you'd be daft to subscribe. It'll contain a lot of stuff from London Expo.
