Woodland Walk Trail (Coquitlam) with friends
Watching Waterfalls at Woodland Walk Trail (Ep. 17)
On today's episode we go to Coquitlam to do the Woodland Walk Trail. This trail is about 8km long and it will take you about 3 hours round trip. The elevation is fairly moderate with an elevation gain of 180m.
To access this trail you want to parke at the end of Harper Rd. Once you park you want to get to the yellow fence and continue up the hill. You will then walk up the gravel road until you reach a fork, and they you will eventually go left at the fork. From there you will eventually find the sign for woodland walk and you hike begins!

Bushwhack Adventures - Introduction - Unsolved Mysteries in the Forests of British Columbia, Canada
(Kindle eBook Link) Bushwhack - - a serial story of off trail hiking in the pacific northwest
(Paperback Book) Bushwhack -
Bushwhacking:
The action of whacking bushes as one walks through terrain without trails; mountaineering without trails; off-trail hiking.
Welcome to Bushwhack Adventures.
This series of YouTube mysteries explores the wilderness of British Columbia in ways you have never seen. Join us as we explore unsolved mysteries that hide within the dense rainforests of the Canadian west coast.
This mystery series is not about conventional outdoor hiking, camping, backpacking and trekking. We go off-trail hiking to where humans rarely, or never, venture. You will not find the routes we explore listed in popular tour books that describe the best hikes or the best trekking areas. We are a rare breed of modern bushwacker, seeking travel adventure where normal hiking trails dare not take us.
In the making of these videos we encounter harsh wilderness conditions and therefore require specialized ultralight mountain hiking equipment in order to survive. Heavy camping gear, trekking poles, or leather hiking boots would only serve to slow us down and cause us to become hopelessly entangled within the thick underbrush of the rain forests of British Columbia, Canada. Aided by Google Earth, GPS and satellite phones, we use the latest technology to go treasure hunting in the BC forests.
Sit back and be entertained by the unsolved mysteries of the vast Canadian forests as we present them to you. These are mysteries that are among the greatest mysteries of the world and hold the promise of golden treasures. As dedicated mystery hunters and detectives, we research real unsolved mysteries. However, we are not treasure raiders, but are certainly treasure hunters. We investigate ghost towns, gold mines, lost Spanish gold, tales of lost cash and valuables, hidden and buried treasure, and even lost cities of gold.
Our clues are ancient folk tales, Indian myths, urban legends, Native American mythology, First Nations tree mythology, local fables, and spoken rumours passed on from generation to generation.
We invite you to become an explorer of history as well and help us separate fact from fiction as we explore the regions top unsolved mysteries. Participate directly by using YouTubes video comment system as a mystery forum and become a mystery PI yourself and contribute to this video investigation. Tell the world about your treasure maps, treasure stories and treasure news. Help us record history before poor forest management practices, rampant over-logging, natural deforestation such as forest fires, destroy all traces of these amazing mysteries, along with the largest trees of the western forests in British Columbia, Canada. Together we will unravel the secrets of world mysteries like you have never seen.
Episode one takes us to Pitt Lake, BC in search of the fabled Lost Gold Mine of Slumach. Said to be richer than the Lost Lemon Mine, Rappelz Lost Mine, or even the world-famous Lost Dutchmans Mine, the curse of Slumachs gold mine has claimed many lives over the years and is steeped in an abundance of local folklore and mythological history. As treasure finds go, the lost gold mine of Pitt Lake is rumoured to be the holy grail of golden treasures. The story is complete with treasure maps, mythical creatures, tales of gold nuggets that are ankle deep, suspense, murder and mystery. Gold prospectors have searched for this mother lode of gold for almost a century. But still the mysterious gold deposits, estimated to be worth billions at todays gold prices, still manage to elude us all.
