Hauser Dam (also known as Hauser Lake Dam) is a hydroelectric straight gravity dam on the Missouri River about 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Helena, Montana, in the United States. The original dam, built between 1905 and 1907, failed in 1908 and caused severe flooding and damage downstream. A second dam was built on the site in 1908 and opened in 1911 and comprises the present structure. The current Hauser Dam is 700 feet (210 m) long and 80 feet (24 m) high.[1] The reservoir formed by the dam, Hauser Lake (also known as Hauser Reservoir) is 25 miles (40 km) long, has a surface area of 3,800 acres (1,500 ha), and has a storage capacity of 98,000 acre feet (121,000,000 m3) of water when full
Hauser Dam is a six-unit hydroelectric plant on the Missouri River, about 14 miles northeast of Helena, Mont. The units have a total generating capacity of 19 megawatts. (One megawatt can satisfy the average energy needs of 750 households.)
Hauser Dam, which began operation in 1911, is 720 feet long and 111 feet high. Its reservoir is 14 miles long and has a storage capacity of 64,253 acre-feet when combined with nearby Lake Helena's usable storage capacity. The dam is classified as a run-of-river project because it can generate electricity using the water that flows down the river, without the need to store additional water supplies.
Hauser Dam is one of eight hydroelectric plants and one reservoir along the Missouri and Madison rivers covered under PPL Montana's Project 2188 operating license. Through this license, PPL Montana works with state and federal agencies and private groups to implement a diverse array of environmental stewardship projects to protect habitats on or near the banks of the Missouri and Madison Rivers.
The dam has a security gate for full-time recreational pedestrian access to allow recreationists to get to the other side of the river, which is virtually inaccessible by other means.
PPL Montana contributed $1.4 million to acquire, design and develop White Sandy Beach at Hauser Dam. The company also has contributed a total of $400,000 to expand the dam's causeway and reconstruct the access site. In addition to its initial contributions, PPL Montana continues to provide $50,000 a year for the operation and maintenance of recreational sites at Hauser Dam.
Hauser Reservoir and nearby Lake Helena are popular sites for recreational activities such as fishing and hiking. Numerous campgrounds dot the river above and below the dam. PPL Montana's Holter Dam, located 29 miles downstream, offers additional recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.

I've had ENOUGH!
When all of this is done, what is going to matter most to you?
Our world full is full of lies, corruption, government control, greed, power and a whole host of other ills. People engorge themselves with a constant barrage of information about the new world order, nwo operatives, the illuminati and all those powers that be who wish to destroy our lives. Patriots scream about it on radio shows, watchmen claim they can change it and thousands of people live in fear of what's to come in the future. Only they fail to realize that history has already been written.
What has happened to our country...no...our world is a tragedy. Our ways of life are forever being changed. And we want so badly with every fiber in our being to make it right again. No one can blame us for that.
But once you come to realize that bible prophecy has already been set in motion, it changes your perspective on how you handle the world around you.
You are left with a choice. Continue to fill your head with a mix of conspiracy theory and truth? or start concentrating on the things that really matter the most in your life and enjoy them while you still have the time left to do so. The choice really should be simple. Still, some people will continue to make it a difficult one to reach.
Some say that we are heading into the tribulation period this year. That 2010 is the start of it all. If that is the case and the book of revelation and the prophecies of daniel are about to unfold, then that means we only have seven years left.
Will you spend that time fighting an enemy that you cannot defeat? or Will you use that time wisely and spend it with your family, your friends and tending to the things that will matter most when it is all said and done?
The choice is yours.
