The warmer weather is here and my sense of adventure is kicking into high gear!
I have been looking forward to spring for some weeks. Being active is so much fun when the sun and the warmth are are part of the deal!
As your active living ambassador in Norfolk County, I invite you to explore the incredible opportunities that our area has to offer. I have a passion for active living and plan to showcase how Norfolk is the best place to be to get moving and sweating!
Ready? Go Norfolk!
What says spring more than golf courses opening? Woodside Greens Golf course which is located just west of Simcoe is ready to kick off their golfing season today (April 10th). That is a clear sign that summer is near!
The North Shore Athletics gang in Port Dover is all set to help you kick start your running routine. Starting on April 11, you can join a fun group to learn the basics and make sure you don’t hit the pavement all alone. The support of a group could help you achieve your goals and improve your performance.
I will be live on Facebook, Tuesday April 18th at 6:30pm showing you how running with this group will empower you to be active. Tune in to get information and see what it is all about. Perhaps it is your time to give it a try!
Earth Day 2017 is April 22nd! What better day to get outside and explore Backus Mills, truly an amazing place! Norfolk County’s Recreation division is hosting a free event from 1 to 3 pm. Bring your hiking boots and go explore nature. Games and spring activities for the whole family will be offered. Don’t forget to register!
Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or just curious about the sport of Mountain biking, don’t miss out on The Turkey Point Mountain Bike club’s Spring Kicker on April 23rd. This will be the official start up of the biking season. Bike demos, Clinics, and Group Rides are the order of the day.
I will be there bringing you the scoop on how to make the best of your season. I am looking for a new ride and some tips. Join me on Facebook on the 23rd to get inspired to get out on your bike!
Get out, play, be active!! Tag your pictures with the hashtag #GoNorfolk so you can empower others to discover what Norfolk County has to offer!
Cheers!
