Woody Point, Newfoundland and Labrador
Woody Point sits at the edge of Bonne Bay, in the heart of Gros Morne National Park. This picturesque town is not what you'd call a drive-by destination. Waterlution's Great Waters Challenge (2016-2017) Bronze Prize for the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail Adventure!
Unfortunately, the Bronze Prize winner, Sylvie Spraakman, had to decline the prize because of a scheduling conflict. Fortunately, Waterlution offered me the prize! Rose Blanche Fish Plant
Rose Blanche is a coastal community on the south coast of Newfoundland. Its fish plant, derelict since the 1992 cod moritorium stands nearby. The plant which was once an important economic focus for the community is falling down. Nearby is the wharf where the south coast ferry loads and unloads. Filmed 13 Aug 2012.

Motorcycle Ride from Corner Brook to Trout River Part 1
Part 1 of a motorcycle ride starting in Corner Brook, going up to Gros Morne National Park, past the Tablelands to Trout River and back to Woody Point. This is the middle of June 2015 and there is still snow up on the mountains.Parts of this may be in older videos.
Music with Mike -uglystick/passing the time
(Note: From 11:00-12:00 is silence) Here I am giving a Newfoundland ugly stick workshop for kids at GalliottStudios in Woody Point Newfoundland,.... as well as Passing the Time in Trout River to an audience of visitors and Newfoundland locals. Ed Huberty, who made this film, passed this little 14 min gem onto me and I am much appreciated. Thanks Ed.
Galliott Studios is a fantastic little artist's studio owned by award winning artist, Jennifer Galliott, in Woody Point, Bonne Bay Newfoundland. It's a great place to hangout, drink coffee, do internet, meet friends, have food and a brew etc...but also see unique art being done as well as buy really great art and crafts there.
Not far from Woody Point is Passing the Time, a weekly event, in Trout River, another beautiful community in Newfoundland. I was invited by Anita Best to perform an evening's entertainment there. Trout River is a somewhat isolated community with warm friendly people too. You have to see this place!
As for playing the Newfoundland spoons or uglystick....get one made and let's see what you can do with it!!
Oh by the way, I have a home in Woody Point with my wife Kathy and our Golden Retriever Scout!!! That's Kathy and my grandson Oliver you see in the second part!!
Motorcycle Ride from Corner Brook to Trout River Part 2
Part II of a ride in June 2015 from Corner Brook, NL up thru Gros Morne National Park to Trout River and back to Woody Point. This is a variation of some of the video I posted before.
Norris Point: What does your mountain look like?
Everyone has their own mountain to take care of. Some don't even have mountains... They have valleys. What does yours look like? Whatever it is, take care of your own before worrying about the mountains of others.
Point Rosie, Newfoundland

Don River - Existing Conditions - Water Depth and Velocity fast
This video shows the existing conditions of the area during a the extent of flooding that would occur under the same Hurricane Hazel-like event.
Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA), Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto have initiated the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project (DMNP Project). This project will transform the existing mouth of the Don River, including the Keating Channel, into a healthier, more naturalized river outlet to the lake, while at the same time, removing the risk of flooding to 240 hectares of urban land to the east and south of the existing river.

Heroin Holiday in the Czech Republic
Every August, while Europe's bankers, lawyers, and other desk jockeys shut off their phones and head to the beach, the junkies of Prague set up camp in the poppy fields outside the city for a vacation of their own.
