Catching Sea Garfish on Woody Point Jetty
Berleying the water with just tiny amounts of bread so you dont fill them up, a piece of prawn on the end of a long shank hook size 8 or 10 about 30cm away from a pencil float. Great eating fish as well as making great live and trolling baits.Thanks to Martin Cowling for the footage.

is a suburb on the Redcliffe peninsula just north of Brisbane.
Matthew Flinders named the point 'Red Cliff Point' in 1799 due to the red colour of the iron-impregnated rocks.
The first jetty was built in 1882 and promoted development of the area as visitors arrived on the Sandgate Ferry. Before this the area was largely farming land.
Surrounding suburbs include Margate, Redcliffe, Clontarf and Kippa Ring.
The new jetty is 240 metres long and was built in 2008. It includes informative displays, tables and seating. A fishing along the jetty is popular with locals

HMQS Gayundah shipwreck at Picnic Point.
Bramble Bay foreshore including Bicentennial Park and Apex Park.
Launching point for fishing boats and the Humpybong yacht club.
Scott's Point and Gayundah coastal arboretum.

FISHING at SHORNCLIFFE PIER - BREAM & FLATHEAD!
The mid year school holiday is finally here!! I got out work early to dip my rod on the Shorncliffe Pier on Brisbane north side. I haven't fished here during the day time before and so far I had very little luck. However, that did not stop people around me catching pretty decent size breams and flatheads. One of fellow fishos even gave me his 30cm bream, yummy as! Hopefully will get a chance to go back out before the holiday ends.

Woody Point, north of Brisbane on the Redcliffe Peninsula is a quiet waterfront area populated by mostly retired folk who want to spend their remaining days surrounded by peace and quiet. Which is exactly why I raided the place and buzzed around with the DJI Phantom 3 to ruffle a few feathers. Wake the old codgers up so to speak. To be honest they couldn't have given a toss. And frankly, the peace and tranquility of the place was all a bit much for me.

Margate is a coastal strip which features one of Moreton Bay's longest mainland stretches of sandy beach, making it perfect for a picnic or BBQ or even some exercising if you are that courageous.
Aside from enjoying all of the beachside you can imagine, Margate has many day to day facilities on offer, including a shopping centre, medical facilities, health & beauty, gyms, restaurants, a primary school and public transport, making it perfect for all walks of life.
