EPIC FISHING!!! Wooli (NSW North Coast) Flathead/Bream soft plastics and baits

Not fishing on the Gold Coast, however thought I would film a little adventure we had when we went down to Wooli (nsw north coast), near coffs harbour, for a weekend away...

The footage was recorded in a single morning spent fishing the blissful wooli creek. Where we were fishing is completely exposed on low tide and unfishable due to no water covering the flats.... We started the morning slow drifting the creek with live yabbies before making the switch to soft plastics (slim swimz by zman) targeting flathead around the sandbanks, drop offs and weed beds. The switch payed off with plenty of fish coming aboard, some small, but some with legal size about them. we kept 3 flathead averaging the 43cm mark (the perfect eating size) - they tasted delicious cooked whole with butter, garlic, salt, lemon and lime.... As winter approaches the flathead will fire more frequently, especially on lures imitating fleeing baitfish.
