This Lickey Hills Walks route was about 5.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of field, woodland and hill paths. There were also sections of tarmac roads, lanes and paths. The walking was a combination of level countryside with some gradual slopes and undulating hills with some steep ascents and descents. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There was 1 low stile to negotiate.

4K video. A walk to Diglis Basin, where the Worcester and Birmingham Canal meets the River Severn.
This is a 4K video of a walk to Diglis Basin. Diglis Basin sits where the canal meets the River Severn in the city of Worcester. We walked along the Worcester and Birmingham Canal on Sunday, one of the sunny days in November 2019. We passed the Commandery, the Royalist Headquarters during the deciding battle of the English Civil War – the Battle of Worcester 1651. There is more to this area, but as you will see the Severn was still in flood therefore some areas were inaccessible. You will notice the water overspilling the towpath after lock one. The area around the Basin has gone through a transformation developing the space, turning it from a derelict wasteland into what you see today. The development to the right as we approach the Basin is the now transformed Royal Porcelain Works.
