These smaller dogs are only 12 weeks old and already so in to working with the sheep, they are almost teaching themselves. This is on Leault Farm in Kincraig near Aviemore, Scotland, and everyday at 4 pm, Neil Ross does a demonstration of the interaction between sheepdog, sheep, land and people. Made tears in our eyes to watch this.

Früh übt sich ... erste Trainingsschritte mit 24 Tagen
Neil Ross demonstriert auf der Leault Farm in Kincraig, Schottland, dass die erst 24 Tage alten Border Collie Welpen auf sein Kommando hören. Frühzeitig trainiert er die Hunde und macht sie damit zu perfekten Arbeitern auf der Weide. Bei der Demonstration an den Schafen helfen ihm gut 10 Hunde. Sie sind zwischen 9 Monaten und immerhin 14 Jahren alt. Jeden schickt er mit einem eigenen Pfeif-Befehl in die Spur. Von Anbeginn gibt es bei ihm keine Erziehung mit Hilfe von Futter-Belohnungen oder großer Lobesworte. Sein Rezept ist einfach seine eigene Ausstrahlung und natürlich die Intelligenz der Hunde.
