Balloons Float Over New Mexico at 2019 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta
500 balloons of all shapes and sizes took off at the 2019 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in the U.S. southwestern state of New Mexico.
The event lasted 9 days and ended on Sunday, October 13. The highlight of the spectacle is known as Mass Ascension, when the balloons takeoff in unison early morning.
The fiesta was launched in 1972 and is the most photographed event in the world.

In October 2017, I attended the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, a hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is one of the largest hot air balloon festivals in the world with over 500 hot air balloons taking flight. It was EPIC.

Один из самых известных и масштабных фестивалей воздушных шаров в мире проходит в американском городе Альбукерка. Каждый год, в октябре небо над городом напоминает сказочную картинку — по нему медленно плывут сотни и сотни самых разных воздушных шаров.
Первый фестиваль воздушных шаров в Альбукерке прошел в 1972 году, тогда в небо поднялись всего 13 аэростатов. Но с тех пор все изменилось. Альбукерка, Нью-Мексико, 3 октября 2015.
Взлетной площадкой для аэронафтов является Balloon Fiesta Park. В дни проведения «воздушной фиесты» ярмарку и территорию взлетной площадки посещают огромное число зрителей. В отдельные дни дневная посещаемость мероприятия превышает 100 тысяч человек. Приблизительное число шаров, участвующих в шоу - 600-700. Мероприятие длится несколько дней, программа насыщенная с дневными и ночными полетами, соревнованиями, музыкальным-шоу и др.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a yearly festival of hot air balloons that takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States during early October. The Balloon Fiesta is a nine-day event, and has over 500 balloons each year.
The Balloon Fiesta began in 1972 as the highlight of a 50th birthday celebration for 770 KOB Radio. Radio station manager Dick McKee asked Sid Cutter, owner of Cutter Flying Service and the first person to own a hot air balloon in New Mexico, if KOB could use his new hot-air balloon as part of the festivities. The two began discussing ballooning, along with conversation and help from Oscar Kratz, and McKee asked what the largest gathering of hot air balloons to date had been.

200 hot air balloons in Mexico for annual festival
Some 200 hot-air balloons from 23 nations are prepared for the 15th International Festival of Hot-Air Balloon opening on Nov. 18 in Leon, Mexico’s north-central state of Guanajuato.
The 4-day event convenes contestants from the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, Philippines and Spain.
The festival used to attract some 500,000 visitors from across the world on annual basis.

Well hello there. It’s been awhile since I’ve last vlogged but I really didn’t want to miss this beautiful experience I got to endure in Albuquerque, New Mexico this past weekend. I was thankful enough to have Steph by my side the whole time, but I was also able meet up with some other wonderful individuals, Josh, Noea, and Isaiah, that all currently live in New Mexico. This past weekend was the International Balloon Fiesta held in Albuquerque. It’s the largest in the United States and contained over 550 hot air balloons. Truly was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and definitely an experience I’ll never forget Grateful for a beautiful weekend and a beautiful life! Thanks for watching!

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta (also known as the Balloon Festival) takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States each October. The Balloon Fiesta last nine days and is the largest hot air balloon festival in the world.
New Mexico Travel Mill presents this video of highlights of some of the amazing footage from recent Balloon Fiestas. See a time-lapse clip of Mass Ascensions--a launch of all of the balloons participating in the Fiesta. See bumble bee shaped balloons which are examples of some of the uniquely shaped hot air balloons at the Fiesta. Next, take in an aerial view of the Fiesta and the surrounding landscape. Note that the Fiesta takes place near populated areas--many of the local residents watch the event from their yard! Finally, you'll see clips of the Balloon Glows--the balloons remain beautifully lit.
