The Valley - Rio Grande Valley, Texas
We drove from Laredo, Texas to McAllen, Texas through the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. I wanted to do something a little bit different than my usual videos. In this video, I did a compilation of towns that we passed along the way.
Most of these (if not all) are border towns located on the United States and Mexican Border. What a great drive!

Living History through the CCC - Texas Parks and Wildlife (Official)
Trent Butler is a 12-year-old on a mission. While on a Boy Scout trip, he learned about the Civilian Conservation Corps and how these men and women helped build the Texas State Park system. But being a history buff, Trent wanted to know more. A lot more. The result was a one-act one-kid play. In it, he portrays a president, a senator, and a CCC worker. His project is a true example of imagination at work, connecting past and present, inspiring all who experience it. What to do in the Lower Rio Grande Valley
Every time I go to a convention or meeting, someone always asks, “Where is the lower Rio Grande Valley?” The lower Rio Grande Valley is in the southern tip of Texas, right before you get to Mexico. The Rio Grande separates Mexico from the United States. If you love warm weather, sunshine, palm trees, and exotic birds, this is the place for you.
There are plenty of great attractions in the Rio Grande Valley. If you enjoy fun in the sun, check out South Padre Island. It’s also a great place for fishing! Other great fishing locations include the coast and Port Mansfield.
If you’re preparing for college, check out the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. If you’re a birdwatcher, we have many facilities and areas filled with exotic birds. If you like wildlife, take a hike through the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge. Don’t forget, SpaceX wants to launch a rocket here in 2018!
Of course, all you snowbirds and winter Texans are always welcome to come on down and enjoy the weather. If you have any questions, give me a call or send me an email. I would be happy to help you!

EcoXplorers - Birding - show 1
Birding is known as the number one sport in America with 51.3 million birders currently in the United States and the numbers continue to grow. Whether you live in the city, suburbs, country, mountains, or seaside, birds of all varieties can easily be found. The easiest place to begin looking is your own backyard. Explore the world of birding with us as we look at bird watching basics, explore the backyard of a hobby bird watcher, then set out to the great outdoors of Galveston Island to view the birds common to its area. This show was originally planned prior to Hurricane Ike. Although this hurricane has affected thousands of lives, the birds appear as if nothing has happened.
EcoXplorers is committed to community enrichment through education with an emphasis on ecology and recreation.
The mission of EcoXplorers is the creation of educational television programs that enhance people's understanding of their relationship to the natural world and each other. The EcoXplorers programs deepen the viewers' awareness of the earth and its inhabitants, helping people of all ages to think critically and expand their perception of the natural world. EcoXplorers programs introduce the viewer to new experiences and motivate them to duplicate those experiences first hand.
