SATUN PROVINCE AMAZING ANDAMAN สตูล อัศจรรย์อันดามัน
Satun Province
Satun (Thai: สตูล) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Trang, Phatthalung and Songkhla. To the south it borders Perlis of Malaysia.
The name Satun is a Thai version of its original Malay name, Setul (santol, or wild mangosteen tree).
The province is located on the Malay Peninsula, on the shore of the Andaman Sea. It is separated from Songkhla Province by the Nakhon Si Thammarat mountain range, and from Malaysia by the Sankalakhiri mountains.
The Ko Tarutao and Ko Phetra marine national parks are part of the province. Close to the border with Malaysia is the Thale Ban National Park, a big freshwater swamp area.
Satun is a small province in the south of Thailand that borders Malaysia, facing the Andaman Sea. The province possesses renowned picturesque islands with verdant forests and mountainous land. The majority of the locals are Muslim. It is located 973 kilometres from Bangkok and occupies an area of 2,478 square kilometres with 80 kilometres of coastline.
Most tourists head out to the pristine islands of Tarutao National Park. Its landscape is full of underwater peaks, excellent beaches, calm and peaceful coves, jungle and mangrove swamps. Snorkelling can be found at Lipe island, while neighbour Adnag island is stunning with forest, hills and waterfalls.
Around Satun, there are plenty of interesting sights, including dove farms, forest parks and huge waterfall. Thale Ban National Park is famous for its abundant wildlife, with many waterfalls and caves worth visiting.

Liveaboard Manta Queen 8 Whale Shark Similan & Surin Islands Thailand
Liveaboard dive trip on the Manta Queen 8 with Khao Lak Scuba Adventures. 5 days of diving with in total 19 dives. And Yes, we saw a Whale Shark :-). First we went to Similan Islands, then to Surin Islands, Richelieu Rock en Boon Sung Wreck on the last day. During our second last dive at Phratong Wreck, we were so lucky. A Whale Shark!!! I just don't now the right words to explain the feeling you get. Seeing a Whale Shark is so peaceful and full of admiration at the same time. You feel really small but also very great. The variety of underwater life was quite large during this dive trip. The Similan Islands are really beautiful! All in all a great diving trip. The visibility was sometimes less during this period. Perhaps because it had just been full moon. The crew of Khao Lak Scuba Adventures is very professional. Safety above everything. The food on board was very good. The cabin could have been a bit bigger, but on the other hand you only sleep there.

During our holiday to Phuket, we were lucky enough to spend two days spotting from this amazing spotting position. This footage is of two Thai Airways Boeing 747´s which landed at this airport on two separate days. Two of the clips are filmed with our Panasonic camera in 4K resolution and one is filmed with our GoPro camera also in 4K resolution. The GoPro frame rate is far too low for 4K footage and therefore the footage becomes jerky (we wont use the 4K video function on the GoPro in the future), we did however like the view it had and therefore included it anyway (Maxi is seen filming with the 4K cam on this footage). Both aircraft featured are Boeing 747-4D7´s, the first one has registration HS-TGX and had her first flight in October 1997, and the secon one has registration HS-TGB and had her first flight in June 2001.
