太極拳發源地 · 焦作 | The Cradle of Tai Chi · Jiaozuo
Jiaozuo is the center of Chinese Taijiquan, a kind of traditional Chinese shadowboxing. In the middle of the 17th century, Chen Wangting founded Chen style Taijiquan in Wen County, Chenjiagou. In the process of a long time evolution, it gradually developed different styles such as Yang style, Wu style, Sun style, and He style. Now this intangible cultural heritage has spread to the whole world, and Chenjiagou has become a pilgrimage of Taijiquan enthusiasts around the world. Tai Chi and eight extremes match civil and military, respectively, in Chinese tradition. Yueshan Temple created Bajiquan (eight-extremities fist) which is equally famous when compares to Taijiquan. Jingying Temple has created the famous Yuanxiantongbeiquan. The three fists together prop up the sky of martial arts.
Jiaozuo is engraved with the imprint of the people of the Central Plains: one of the followers of Confucius, Bu Zixia, seven worthies of Bamboo Grove in Wei and Jin Dynasties, the philosopher Wang Bi, the famous military strategist in the Three Kingdoms period, Sima Yi, Han Yu the litterateur, Li Shangyin the Saint of poetry in the late Tang Dynasty, Xu Heng the outstanding educator in Song Dynasty, the famous painters, Guo Xi and Li Tang, Zhu Zaiyu the saint of music, Tai Chi Master Chen Wangting, and Cao Jin the Emperor Yu… The numerous historical and cultural celebrities make Jiaozuo shining and charming.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
The Sichuan Basin (Chinese: 四川盆地; pinyin: Sìchuān Péndì), formerly transliterated as the Szechwan Basin, sometimes called the Red Basin, is a lowland region in southwestern China. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is drained by the Yangtze River and its tributaries. The basin is anchored by Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, in the west, and the independent municipality of Chongqing in the east. Due to its relative flatness and fertile soils, it is able to support a population of more than 100 million. In addition to being a dominant geographical feature of the region, the Sichuan Basin also constitutes a cultural sphere that is distinguished by its own unique customs, cuisine, and dialects. It is famous for its rice cultivation and is often considered the breadbasket of China. In the 21st century its industrial base is expanding with growth in the high-tech, aerospace, and petroleum industries.
How does Daqingshan look like in winter?
I take you on a tour at Daqingshan, Shandong, China. It's a beautiful Friday afternoon in January, and it's actually Chinese New Year's eve.
Daqingshan, also referred to at 'the Mountain' is a Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method Training Center established by Master Chen Zhonghua.
It's also a resort and recreation center of the prefecture-level City of Rizhao.
I take you to some of the most important places and tell you stories about what happened there during my last stays at the Mountain.
And I tell you, why it's so important to do 50 Yilus!
