Ride to Wutai, Pingtung County, Taiwan
A casual motorcycle ride on my Honda Hornet 250. Begining near the entrance to Maolin Scenic Area riding southward on route 185 and finally onto route 24 eastward into the mountains to Wutai.
Recording a lot of different fruit plantations (pineapples, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, ...) on the way, my RunCam3 ran out of battery just before reaching the end of route 24 at the closed gate (near the 44.5km marker).
Recorded on May 31st, 2018.
Added some copyright free music due to the incredible wind noise. I may have to improve on this in later videos.

Wutai Scenic Area is situated at the Wutai Village of Wutai Township and surrounded by Yila, Cyulu, Ali, Jiamu, Dawu, and Haocha Villages. The nearby natural swimming pool at Haocha Village is famous due to its location in the deep forest along with its annual average temperature around 17~18℃. Even in the summer, it is a pleasant and cool place to visit. The fascinating scenery of the ridges and peaks make the place a great spot of visitors during the summer vacation.

霧台國小 Wutai School - 啟程
Wutai Elementary School is the literally “highest” school in Pingtung, Taiwan, at an altitude of around 800 meters. Wutai Elementary School is a Taiwanese aboriginal school, primarily of the Rukai tribe. From building decorations to lessons given at school, the Rukai culture is not only treasured here in school, but cherished and celebrated through teaching their own dialects, singing and dancing.
Under the environment of low fertility and rural-to-urban migration still occurring in Taiwan, there are only 31 students in Wutai Elementary School, plus 9 kids in kindergarten.
Being part of the substitute service program, I’ve come to Wutai Elementary School to help kids learning English. By practicing with them and exposing them more to Western culture, hopefully I can help them to develop a genuine interest to learn English.
I think I’m rather lucky to be here, up in the beautiful mountains with these naïve and adorable kids!

Travel Taiwan Ep. 1 - Sandiman (with English sub)
The Liou Li Bridge is located in Sandiman, Pingtung County in Taiwan. The end of the bridge offers a variety of Aboriginal vendors selling various foodstuff. You'll need to take a shuttle bus (approx $20NTD pp) to get back to the original spot.

Guanyin Cave (Kuanyin Cave)(Lyudao Township,Taitung Country,Taiwan)
Guanyin Cave is a limestone terrain formed by rising coral reefs that were long eroded by underground rivers. Inside the cave is a stone Guanyin statue. According to legend,a group of fishermen on the island lost their directions in the sea. A fire ball came to sight and guided them to the seashore. They followed the fire ball and found the statue; thus an altar was setup here to make offerings.
Some Taiwanese people travel to Green Island only to pay their respects to the Goddess of Mercy at Guanyin Cave. The underground cavern has a stalagmite that is supposed to look like the deity. You can’t miss it, it’s wrapped in a red blanket. I wouldn’t say that the Guanyin Cave is a must-do on your trip to Green Island. That said, it’s still the most important religious site on the island and the colorful Chinese arch at the entrance is worth a picture or two.
