SP Trains #1028 Buy Your Own - CN YaleSub Mile 89.0 2018-07-27

Like many other railfans, I was out to document the first VIA Rail Passenger train east from Vancouver on its new schedule.

I had just arrived at the Sorenson Street Grade crossing, when I heard a westbound. With only just enough time to setup the camera, I caught a Louis Dreyfus Company unit grain train. On point were CN3093 and CN2807.

Back in the Winter of 2013-2014, LDC had complained, bitterly, that CN were not providing enough cars to move the bumper grain crop. CN received a hefty fine and LDC went and bought their own grain cars to reduce that restriction in their dekllivery of agricultural products to the World.
