115 women from Prince Edward Island served in WW1 as nurses. This radio drama series was produced to recognize the contribution of women overseas during the Great War, and the sacrifices they made to be there.
Follow Nursing Sister Winifred MacLeod as she serves in the First World War. Originating from Charlottetown, PE, Winifred traveled from Vancouver to England to Salonika to France, until she landed back home in Canada. She was the first Islander to be a part of the Mediterranean expeditionary force during the Great War.
