Crews working hard to get Wylie Park ready for the season
Mark Grote and his team at the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry department have been working diligently to get Wylie Park and Storybook Land ready for their opening day on April 15th. We were able to take a look around Wylie and Storybook Land to see what's in store for the coming summer.

Cleaning up Wylie Park
Two vans of students from the Aberdeen Family YMCA Youth Development Center spent their day off of school helping clean up at Wylie Park Monday. Jacob Stulken, a third-grader at C.C. Lee Elementary School, said it was really windy and chilly, but the students persisted and picked garbage up from all around the lake and into the picnic area.
The trip was part of Healthy Kids Day, wrote Kayley Valsvig, the youth outreach director at the Youth Development Center. The students also had a chance to participate in a fitness class called body Combat and some circuit training activities.
