China High speed Rail to HuaShan north from Xi’An Heading To West Peak
We were in Xi’An, China! On one of our days, we went to the famous Mount Hua (Hua Shan) by public transport. It was an interesting journey, with many transfers, as we were doing it ourselves.
Sequence as follows:
1. Take the Xi'An Metro from our Hotel (Sheraton Xi'An North) to Xi'An North High Speed Rail Station
2. Buy High Speed Rail ticket, take the High Speed Train to HuaShan north Station (120km)
3. From station, took a taxi to visitor center. Along the way, taxi driver brought us to a tour agent to buy our tickets, as the price was the same, and we would be able to skip the queues at the visitor center.
4. Arrive at visitor center, entered the gates, take the blue bus to West Peak Cable Car base station.
5. Arrive at West Peak base station - it was a very long uphill walk (many stairs) to the cable car proper! We took the chair lift to go up.
6. Then we finally get onto the West Peak Cable Car, which brings us to the West Peak.
7. From here, it is on foot - we only visted West and South peaks.
And to get back to Xi'An, do the reverse.
This video covers the first part of the journey. We arrive at Xi'An North High Speed Rail station. Then we buy tickets, and then get into the station itself. The train ride was fairly short, only 30 minutes. We bought some cooked food at the railway station to bring up the mountain to eat. Upon arriving at HuaShan North, we took a taxi, bought tickets from the tour agent, then the taxi driver dropped us off at the visitor center. A short walk to the entrance for tour groups. Once we were in, we boarded the blue bus for the West Peak. The buses move only when they are full. It was a 40 minute ride to the West Peak base station for cable car! And that is where this video ends. More videos of our HuaShan experience below!
We took the chair lift up, to the West Peak Cable Car. This saved us some walking.
Then we took the Cable Car up to the HuaShan West Peak. Check out the hole in the mountain!
Once we reached HuaShan, we started our walk!

Views in the cab, on my taxi ride from Xi’An city to Xi’An airport Regal Hotel. The roads were very wide and smooth. The highways were even smoother. Along the way, saw many new builds. All of them were recently built and the taxi driver told us that they were all sold out. The pace of development in China is super fast.

Xi'an - China
Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi province, located in the northwest of the People's Republic of China, in the center of the Guanzhong Plain. One of the oldest cities in China, the city was known as Chang'an before the Ming dynasty. Xi'an is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history, including Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang. Xi'an is the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
Since the 1990s, as part of the economic revival of interior China especially for the central and northwest regions, the city of Xi'an has re-emerged as an important cultural, industrial and educational centre of the central-northwest region, with facilities for research and development, national security and China's space exploration program. Xi'an currently holds sub-provincial status, administerring 9 districts and 4 counties. According to the 2010 Census, Xi'an has an urban population of 5,566,711 in its built-up area made of 7 out of 10 districts (all but Yanliang, Lintong and Gaoling not urbanized yet), while the total population of the Municipality is up to 8,467,837. It is the most populous city in Northwest China, as well as one of the three most populous cities in Western China. According to a July 2012 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, it was recently named as one of the 13 emerging megacities, or megalopolises, in China. The report pinpoints and highlights the demographic and income trends that are shaping these cities' development.

China High Speed Rail Xi’An North to Luoyang Longmen Ate KFC Onboard [First Time on China HS Rail]
Our first experience on China's high speed rail! (yeah, I know we are slow). We were in Xi'An, China! We wanted to get to Luoyang to visit the Luoyang Longmen Grottoes. There are more than 50 pairs of high speed rail trains serving passengers between these 2 stations. The distance is 380km (or 236 miles) and the journey took about 1.5 hours.
We got to Xi'An North station via the Xi'An metro. And then we went to buy our tickets, at the manned ticket booth. You need your passports. Thereafter, we entered the Xi'An high speed rail station. The station was huge - the largest train station in Northwest China. As we had a bit of time before our train, we bought food to eat on board. I opted for a KFC burger, as this would be the easiest to handle on the train.
We were in the 2nd class cabin. The seats had good recline. The train moved off punctually and achieved speeds of 300km/h. There were a few stops along the way. We got to our destination as scheduled. It was a very efficient way to travel. The China High Speed rail system is super impressive.
On food, we had no problems eating and drinking our own food on board the High Speed Rail. There was a staff pushing a cart selling food. I noticed nobody bought from her. Passengers brought their own food and rink.

- рассмотрит географию региона;
- исследует практические и технические параметры того, что строили и по сей день строят в Китае под видом Пирамид;
- борзо обозреет обзоры печатных текстов на эту тему: умопомрачительные и по большей части анекдотические – так что можно будет от души погоготать и расслабиться;
