Xihu Township (Chinese: 溪湖鎮; pinyin: Xīhú Zhèn) is an urban township in the middle of Changhua County, Taiwan. It is a traditional farming village. Along with Xiluo, it is one of the centers of vegetable-growing on the western side of the island. Famous local foods include lamb hotpot and kyoho grapes.

凌晨四點，西湖邊上的靜心茶會 The Meditation Tea Ceremony by West Lake at Four in the Morning
茶人解致璋，事茶已有30餘年。她畢業於台灣文化大學美術系，學生時代就跟著江兆申、曾紹傑等名家學習。作為台灣第一位將環境與茶席結合的茶人，她喜歡在戶外辦茶會。尤其是在清晨、黃昏、甚至半夜、凌晨舉辦的“靜心茶會”，在她看來最有趣。今年9月，解致璋和淨慈寺方丈戒清法師一起，在杭州淨慈寺舉辦了一場“慧日峰下靜心茶會”。
Xie Zhizhang has been working with tea for over three decades. She graduated from the School of Art, Chinese Culture University, and she’s been learning after masters including Jiang Zhaoshen and Zeng Shaojie since she’s a student. As a pioneer in combining tea ceremony and environment, she particularly favors outdoor tea ceremonies “calming tea ceremony” held at dawn, dusk and midnight. This September, Xie Zhizhang and Master Jieqing from Jing Ci Temple organized a Calming tea ceremony under the Huiri Peak at Jing Ci Temple, Hangzhou.

West Lake Resortopia 21km (Taiwan)
For this race we drove 50 minutes to San-yi (famous for furniture-making) in Taiwan. It was right off the highway and we found easy parking in the lot of the West Lake Resortopia parking lot. It was raining, so we were lucky to find that the bad-check area was in a building where we could hangout until the start. The plan was for my friend to get a PR in the half marathon...
He did it and placed in the top 20 of his age group! Be forewarned: this race has lots of elevation. We had to walk some of the steeper hills, in fact, our walking stride was beating many of those who were running!
After the race we enjoyed the fair-like atmosphere and used our race pack coupons to get noodles and orange juice. If it hadn't been raining we might have explored more of the park area. We decided to head home and got back to Changhua before noon!
