The Xiling Gorge (西陵峡) between Xiangxi and the city of Yichang is the easternmost of the three gorges on the Yangtze River. At the narrowest point, it has a width of 80 m.

Die Xiling-Schlucht (西陵峽) zwischen Xiangxi und der Stadt Yichang ist die östliche der drei Schluchten am Jangtse. An der engsten Stelle hat sie eine Breite von 80 m.
Mit den ersten Sonnenstrahlen des neuen Tages fahren wir in die Xiling-Schlucht ein, die erste der drei Schluchten. Früher war sie für die Schifffahrt die gefährlichste Passage. Klippen und Untiefen sind jedoch durch den Gezhouba Staudamm beseitigt.

Train ride from Pingdingshan to Yichang - China
The journey by train from Pingdingshan city to Yichang city takes roughly 5 hours and cost 112 RMB. The ride was quite relaxing, the train was not overly crowded and there was some nice scenery to look at.
