Emeishan, a city with 430,000 inhabitants is located in the Chinese province of Sichuan. It is the ideal starting base for visiting the Great Buddha of Leshan and the Mount Emei with its temples.
We spend a nice evening with our driver and our interpreter in Baoguocun, a suburb of Emeishan. Our driver had great fun to shoot once with a shoulder-mounted camera.
In the evening when the city is colorfully lit up, you can enjoy the culinary delights of Chinese cuisine at one of the many outdoor restaurants.
But caution, the kitchen in the Sichuan province is known for its very spicy food.

In Baoguocun, einem Vorort von Emeishan, verbringen wir mit unserem Fahrer und unserer Dolmetscherin einen netten Abend. Unserem Fahrer machte es besonderen Spaß auch mal mit einer Schulterkamera zu filmen.
Man kann sich in der bunt beleuchteten Stadt an einem der zahlreichen Straßenrestaurants reichlich den kulinarischen Genüssen der chinesischen Küche hingeben.
Aber Vorsicht, die Küche in der Sichuan Provinz ist bekannt für besonders scharfe Speisen.

Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, also commonly known as Emperor Ming of Tang, personal name Li Longji, known as Wu Longji from 690 to 705, was the seventh emperor of the Tang dynasty in China, reigning from 712 to 756. His reign of 43 years was the longest during the Tang Dynasty. In the early half of his reign he was a diligent and astute ruler. Ably assisted by capable chancellors like Yao Chong, Song Jing and Zhang Yue, he was credited with bringing Tang China to a pinnacle of culture and power.
Emperor Xuanzong, however, was blamed for over-trusting Li Linfu, Yang Guozhong and An Lushan during his late reign, with Tang's golden age ending in the Anshi Rebellion. This marked the beginning of the Tang dynasty's decline.
