Chinese Residents Struggle In Fast Flowing Flood Water

Flooding caused by heavy rains hit Shehong county of southwest China on Monday.

Chinese state broadcaster CCTV showed residents struggling against currents in heavily flooded streets.

Heavy rains hit early Monday morning, and flood waters in some areas reached up to 140.5 cm deep by the afternoon, CCTV said.

Heavy rainfall across southern and central China has affected millions this summer, damaging infrastructure and wiping out crops.
