China | Suzhou Xiyuan / Western Garden Temple (苏州西园寺)
Xiyuan Temple , founded in Yuan dynasty, was ruined and then became part of a large classical garden, Xiyuan or West Garden (西园). The garden belonged to a Senior Government Official during Ming Dynasty. When he died, his son donated the garden to the monastery. Most of the buildings were destroyed during the Taiping Rebellion in 1860. It was rebuilt after the war.
The temple is known for its statues, Arhat Hall and Free Life Pond, where 2 famous long-life Asian Giant Softshell Turtles lived. One turtle died in 2007 at the age of 400, and the other has disappeared.

蘇州許願最靈寺廟被譽“吳門首剎”供養400歲巨黿 全球僅存2只！
創建於元代至元年間（1264年）的西園戒幢律寺簡稱西園寺，坐落於蘇州城西閶門外，寺廟雖然名氣不如寒山寺，卻是蘇州人口碑相傳許願最靈的寺廟，每逢初一、十五等節假日，香客不斷，素有“吳門首剎”之譽。明嘉靖年間，西園寺曾一度被留園的建造者太僕寺卿徐泰時改為私家園林。寺廟西花園的放生池周邊分佈著假山與亭臺樓閣，建築特點與蘇州園林如出一轍，因此西園寺也被譽為蘇州城內唯一一座寺廟園林。放生池中供養著一隻400多歲的斑黿，為明代徐氏建園時投放其中，現已瀕臨滅絕，據說全世界僅存二隻。因巨黿平時難得一見，寺廟在放生池岸邊以一比一的比例塑造了斑黿銅像，形象非常逼真。西園寺內古木幽深，梵宇重重，四大天王殿、大雄寶殿...
China | Suzhou Hanshan /Cold Mountain Temple (苏州寒山寺)
Located at the town of Fengqiao (Maple Bridge), Suzhou, Hanshan Temple was founded during the Tianjian era (502–519) , in the Southern and Northern Dynasties period. Hanshan Temple is famed in East Asia because of the poem A Night Mooring by Maple Bridge (楓橋夜泊), by Tang Dynasty poet, Zhang Ji. The poem describes the melancholy scene of a dejected traveller, moored at night at Fengqiao, hearing the bells of Hanshan Temple:

Suzhou is one of the most famous cities in China. It has lots of tourist attractions. More specifically, Suzhou is known for its classical southern style Chinese gardens. In this video, I'm talking about five most famous gardens, Canglang Pavilion, Ke Yuan, Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Liu Garden. I love Suzhou, it has beautiful scenery, Wu culture, delicious food, and silk products. One video is not enough for Suzhou. In the next video, I'm going to continue with Suzhou!

Famen Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Famen town , Fufeng County, 120 kilometers west of Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It was widely regarded as the ancestor of pagoda temples in Guanzhong.
Famen Temple currently maintains such a layout as Grand Hall following Pagoda. The True Relic Pagoda is regarded as the middle axle of the temple. Before it stand the Front Gate, the Front Hall, and behind it is the Grand Hall of Great Sage. This is the typical layout of the early Buddhist temples in China.
The True Relic Pagoda has been altered several times. It evolved from four-storied pavilion-like pagoda in Tang Dynasty to thirteen-storied brick pagoda in Ming Dynasty. The current version was rebuilt based on the surveyed drawing of the pagoda in Ming Dynasty before it collapsed. It is made of armored concrete as skeleton, and then covered by grey bricks. Inside the pagoda there are sightseeing platforms for tourists.
The underground palace was restored to the structure of Tang Dynasty. Only few severely damaged parts were replaced. The whole palace was built by white marbles and limestone tablets. Inner walls and stony gate are all engraved. During the renovation of the underground palace, a circular basement was built surrounding the Tang palace, and Buddhist shrines were included. The preserved Buddhist finger relic rests at the center of the underground palace.
The western division of the temple is Famen Temple Museum, including multi-functioning reception hall, treasure hall and other buildings.
