Higher Fares on Cijin Ferry
Ticket fares on the ferry that operates between the Kaohsiung districts of Gushan and Cijin will rise from next month. Regular fare on the popular tourist route will increase from NT$15 to NT$25, and the cost of bringing a scooter will go from NT$20 to NT$25. Passage will remain free for Cijin residents. It will be the first price hike on the route in seven years.

Beautiful Cijin 旗津島 (Qijin)
Cijin island is a district of Kaohsiung city, it is accessed from the mainland by ferry (pedestrians, bicycles, motorbikes) at the north tip, or by car through the Cross Harbor Tunnel at the south tip. There are a lot of attractions and beautiful places such as fine beaches, the light house, the Cihou Fort, the Tianhou Temple, the night market, the seaside park and much more. There's lot of fresh seafood restaurants and delicious Taiwanese snacks stalls as well. Wandering the old streets and discovering old typical houses and shops is amazing. From the east side of the island, one can admire all the large vessels birthing in the Kaohsiung port.

????HOW TO GET THERE:
Take the MRT orange line and get down at Sizihwan MRT Station. From there, head to the harbor and take Cijin Ferry; instructions from the MRT station to the harbor are available on the streets and it will take about 10 minutes to get there on foot. The cost to take the Cijin Ferry is 15 NTD (approximately 0.50 USD) and the journey is around 15 minutes. Travelers can take a bike on the ferry so if you prefer to rent a bike in Sizihwan, it will not be a problem.

1. PELABUHAN FERRY GUSHAN
Gushan Ferry Pier atau Pelabuhan Ferry Gushan merupakan salah satu pelabuhan kecil di daerah Sizihwan kota Kaohsiung. Untuk menuju ke pelabuhan ini, teman-teman bisa naik Kaohsiung MRT jalur oranye lalu turun di stasiun Sizihwan. Setelah jalan sekitar 5 menit, teman-teman sudah bisa melihat pelabuhan Ferry nya karena lokasinya tidak terlalu jauh dari stasiun MRT. Dari sini teman-teman akan menaiki kapal ferry untuk menyebrang ke Pulau Cijin yang sudah terlihat dengan jelas. Kapal ini selain bisa mengangkut penumpang juga bisa memuat kendaraan seperti motor dan sepeda loh, jadi kalian juga bisa membawa kendaraan kalian untuk keliling di Pulau Cijin. Biaya untuk naik kapal ini juga terhitung tidak mahal, kalian bisa bayar pakai uang tunai ataupun kartu MRT. Perjalanan kapal untuk sampai ke Pulau Cijin kira – kira hanya sekitar 13 menit
#petunujuknya How to get to Cijin Island: Ambil metro Orange Line, Sizihwan (R01), ambil exit 1, belok kiri dan jalan kaki kurang lebih 5-10 menit ke pelabuhan ferry. Tiket ferry langsung bayar di kotak (NT $25 per orang, pakai uang pas karena tidak ada loket). Frekuensi ferry setiap 10-15 menit
