The seasons are changing in Tamarindo, Costa Rica
These are just a few of the things that indicate that the rainy season is over and the dry season is gaining its dominance.
This morning I woke up to the curtains of my condo being sucked into the back of my fan. The wind had picked up and was pushing in the cool morning air. On the air floated a hint of sugar cane molasses. This sweet smell has made connections in my memories to the holiday season and the beginning of the Tamarindo summer.
The molasses is used to keep the dust down on the roads which become an increasing problem as we proceed into the dry season of the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. In my mind, the sweet scent has replaced the smell of the pine trees of my previous home in the Colorado Rockies as the smell of Christmas since that is the time of year when they begin applying it to the dusty dirt roads.
The wind always increases this time of year as it shoots south, down through the country, coming from Lake Nicaragua (Lago Cocibolca) before pushing west out the coast across Tamarindo. This creates an incredible offshore breeze forming perfect waves in the Tamarindo bay.

Zarcero Costa Rica Vlog 1
Apologies for the grainy video, I think I saved the file wrong. Next one will be higher quality!
With over 100,000 miles traveled, we figured it is time to help others discover the joy of traveling!
On our first stop in Costa Rica, we visit the small town of Zarcero. Located about an hour away from the SJO airport and away from all the tourist, is this bustling town that will give you an insight into daily life as a Costa Rican. Staying in this town truly gave us what we believe to be an authentic experience. While we were there we got to explore Parque Francisco Alvarado and Iglesia de San Rafael!
Located at the heart of the city is a beautiful catholic church and surrounding park. The park is filled with bushes trimmed into animals of all varieties. Created in 1960s by Don Evanglista Blanco, I am so excited the tradition has been maintained.

What is a sport?
There are many different sports disciplines around the world, some more known than others. However, to learn about these it could be a good idea to first answer the main question “What is a sport?” A sport is an activity that is competitive and athletic, and which requires some particular set of skills or physical abilities to be carried out.
There are several types of sports, usually divided by four main categories according to the types of skills required: physical sports (swimming, gymnastics), motorised sports (these often involve vehicles like cars or motorbikes), mind sports (like chess, which needs a lot of attention and critical thinking skills), and sports with animals (horseback riding, for example). Some of these activities can be individual, and others may be performed on couples or even teams. Now, let’s take a look at the main sports there are and some vocabulary about sports in English
Why are sports important?
Sports are deeply ingrained in the different cultures found around the world. Learning about sports helps the little ones get to know more about their surroundings, breaking down language and cultural barriers as they get to know new vocabulary and expressions as they practice their favorite disciplines. Moreover, practicing a sport is the perfect way for children to learn about sportsmanship, and also to grasp the importance that teamwork has in a person’s life.
Additionally, children that grow up practicing a sport develop great physical skills, are more inclined to make new friends have improved self-esteem and lower levels of stress, which in turn is quite beneficial for their mental health. So, sports are not only great for the body, but also for the children’s mind.
Fiesta à Liberia Costa Rica
Tous les ans à cette date (fin février) il y a trois jours de fêtes dans la ville de Liberia. J'ai assisté au début de ce festival. Et probablement que j'assisterai à plusieurs événements avant de partir.
Guanacaste & Liberia Costa Rica Travel Guide - Travel Excellence
Guanacaste became part of Costa Rica in 1824; until then, still remains as an independent province. This territory certainly has a very important natural and cultural richness for Costa Rica’s economy.
As one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica, Guanacaste has become a popular destination in Costa Rica for its tropical paradise with a pristine shoreline, beautiful mountain ranges and a number of volcanoes that involve some of the most best places to visit in Costa Rica.
Visitors are drawn to the long summer days, active culture and unparalleled wildlife. Guanacaste is definitely one of the reasons why people visit Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Dreamtrip December 2015 (JD)
This is a recap of my Birthday trip where I decided to go to celebrate my 23rd birthday on a Dreamtrip to San Jose, Costa Rica but the price was so cheap that I decided to bring my mom with me as birthday gift to her. We had the time of our lives, we didn't know no one at all on this trip it was just me and her, but one thing I love about Dreamtrips is that strangers become family, just because we all have one thing in common, we want more Fun, Freedom and Fulfillment. Hope you can experiences this Champagne lifestyle on a beer budget. To think I would've had spend more money at the club popping bottles is insane!! You Should Be Here. Join the team.
