Yaegaki Shrine in Matsue, Japan
[Shinto Shrine 3D] Yaegaki Shrine, Matsue
Yaegaki shrine 八重垣神社 is well-known as a holy place of Cupid in Matsue, Shimane. A lot of girls, ladies, and couple often come to this shrine to seek a good match. The dedicated dieties are 'Susano スサノオ' and his wife 'Kushinada Hime クシナダヒメ'.
The shrine stands at the spot where Susano-o-no-mikoto, who slew an 8 headed dragon in Japanese mythology, and Princess Inada-hime set up home. It is dedicated to marriage and matchmaking.
227 Sakusa-cho, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture 690-0035
Tel: 0852-21-1148
Parking: 150 spaces (3 min. walk)
There is a pond in the dark woods beyond the shrine, which it is said that Inata-hime used as a mirror. This pond is usually the main reason people, especially young women visit the shrine. It is custom to have your fate in marraige foretold by placing a 5 yen coin on a small piece of paper and placing it on the water. The length of time it takes to sink and the direction it takes determines your fate in marriage. The longer it takes to sink, the later you will marry, and the further away it sinks is meant to relate to how far from your hometown your partner will be from.

Kamosu Shrine in Matsue, Japan
Kamosu Shrine in Matsue, Japan
Shrines in Shimane, Japan
Kamosu shrine was build in 1346 and designated as a National Treasure in 1952.
Yaegaki shrine is known as the Gods of Marriage.
Those two are my most favorite shrines in Shimane.
Yaegaki shrine's Omikuji is quite unique. It is a flat piece of paper not folded. You buy the Omikuji and bring it to Kagaminoike pond in the forest near the shrine. Then put the Omikuji with a coin on the surface of the pond. At the same time putting the Omikuji, fortune message appears on it. It's said that the sooner the Omikuji sinks in the pond, the sooner you will marry.
Omikuji is a traditional form of Japanese fortune telling in which a person's fortune is written on the piece of folded paper and is typically sold at Shinto Shrines.

I went to the Yaegaki_jinjya(Shinto shrine) of Matsue that was famous for love on January 3, 2016. It was full of many people. Unlike snow of the last year, it was fine this year.

God of marriage company enshrining susano (mikoto) and Princess Inada (inata_hime)
It was said to be the place that susano marries Princess Inada (inata_hime) in multifold fences Shinto shrine (yaegaki_shrine), and lived.
Yakumo Izumo multifold fences (yaegaki) wife basket to look multifold fences (yaegaki) multifold fences (yaegaki) to make which stands (the beginning of 31-syllable Japanese poem:) It is the place that is famous for a song of) having the monument in Suka shrine.
Izumo Taisha Shrine is famous for matchmaking, too, but friendly feeling springs out as matchmaking, and ties of Susa no and Princess Inada (inata_princess) are places popular with women.
There is love fortune-telling said to that it is early, and love accomplishes it if I float a piece of paper which I put a coin on on the surface of the water in the legend of a mirror-pond of the main shrine back and set for less than 15 minutes and there are many young woman and lovers and goes and worships.
The picture on a board of the Princess beautiful Inada (inata_princess) life of the treasure building store is unmissable.

I visited the shrine in various ways at the time of trouble. Here, since Yaegaki Shrine is the three power spots of Izumo of romance, there are many young women, and recent tears are also dying, so I played slowly with the wife of heaven. Well, I enjoyed it, but my wife was a little angry.
