15 Things to Do Near Tokyo, Japan - Visiting Yamanashi, Shizuoka & Kanagawa Prefectures
Some of my favorite adventures I had during my 12-day trip to Japan were the ones I had just outside of Tokyo in the Yamanashi, Shizuoka, and Kanagawa Prefectures, and I want to share them with you in this guide to things you can do near Tokyo, Japan!

This is the only facility in Japan where you can get an up-close look at the Maglev, a high-speed train that travels at speeds up to 500 kilometers per hour!

This amusement park is known around the world for its fast and steep roller coasters, which are a blast to ride! It’s a fun outing for the whole family!

TAKING A DAY TRIP TO YAMANASHI!
What's up guys! We took a day trip to 山梨県(Yamanashi prefecture) which was a lot of fun! I went there with my dad, siblings, brother's family and the other brother's girlfriend! We had the best time! That shrine is called 武田神社(Takeda Shrine) and there was a great samurai named 武田信玄 very very long time ago. So if you go to the shrine ,you'll get to learn about his history!

Went on my first solo trip to Tokyo and Yamanashi during the Christmas/New Year's season. From reuniting with a childhood friend, seeing Mount Fuji, consuming lots of delicious food, fangirling over KPOP boys, playing with hedgehogs, and taking lots of pictures - I would say that this trip was a great way to end my 2017.

19880920 Berea visits Kiyosato Japan
Delegates from the City of Berea, Kentucky visited Yamanashi Prefecture in September, 1988 to initiate a sister city program. I was asked to prepare four students to give a country dance program at the Yatsugatake County Fair during the visit for the 50th anniversary of work started by Paul Rush, a Kentucky native. It is not easy to exhibit country dancing with just two couples so I enlisted participation by John and Jane Stephenson (President and First Lady of Berea College), Richard Drake, Molly Levey, and my wife Risse who was Director of the Berea Chamber of Commerce at the time. This video shows our dance program: I Wonder When I Shall Be Married (an Appalachian folk song), Jump Josie (an Appalachian playparty game), Country Chorus (a buck dance routine arranged by Jackie Christian), Step Stately (Cecil Sharp's interpretation of a 17th century English country dance), Kentucky Set Running, American cowboy buckaroo dancing (arranged by Brigham Young dance leader), Ninepin Quadrille, and audience participation.

コンピューターグラフィックス（ＣＧ）に、３Ｄプロジェクションマッピングまで。最新のデジタル技術を駆使して、画家ゴッホの名画に新たな光を当てよう。そんな展覧会を甲府市の映像制作会社が東京で企画した。山梨でも来年にはぜひ開催したいと、もくろむ。「親愛なる友フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホ デジタルアート展」と題されている。企画したのは、ＭＤＫデジタルピクチャーズ社長の朴田秀（パクジョンス）さん。この会社は昨年１０月、立体的な映像を投影する３Ｄプロジェクションマッピングを県庁の建物でも実演した。

One of the best trip of the year
Lake Kawaguchi (河口湖)
The Fujikawaguchiko area is located on the north side of the sacred Mt. Fuji and is blessed with stunning natural greenery and mountains, and is swathed in woodland, the most well-known being Aokigahara Forest, also called the ‘sea of trees’, and wilderness. The area also has the Fuji Five Lakes – Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Sai, Lake Shoji and Lake Motosu, which were dammed by volcanic lava flows. The vast Aokigahara Forest and Fujigane Highland at the foot of Mt. Fuji make up a vast scenic spot that is one of Japan’s best.
The highland in between the slopes of Mt. Fuji to the south and the Mt. Misaka range to the north gets extremely cold in winter, however it is quite comfortable in summer, and many visitors come from within Japan and abroad to this international tourist spot to appreciate the beautiful nature throughout the seasons.
It continually charms visitors from around the world with its ever-changing colors and scenes of flowers, new greens, red leaves and snowy landscapes.
The area around the foot of the mountain, surrounded by the Fuji Five Lakes, has much more in addition to the natural beauty of the extensive foliage and caves created by volcanic formations. The region also has various tourist facilities including art museums, theme parks and ski slopes, and a range of activity programs.
Access
From Shinjuku in Tokyo, it takes approximately 2 hours 10 minutes to Kawaguchiko Station by train (Change to the Fuji Kyuko Line at Otsuki Station from the JR Chuo Line), around 1 hour 30 minutes by car to Kawaguchiko I.C. on the Chuo Expressway, or around 1 hour 50 minutes by Chuo Highway Bus from Shinjuku Station West Exit.
It takes approximately 50 minutes by car or around 1 hour by train from the Fujikawaguchiko area to the Kofu area.
From the Fujikawaguchiko area to the Isawa area it takes 40 minutes by car or 1 hour 15 minutes by train.
To the Fujikawaguchiko area it takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes by car or 1 hour 50 minutes by train on the Fuji Kyuko Line from Otsuki Station (JR Chuo Line).
ทะเลสาบ คาวากุจิโกะ
เป็น 1 ในทะเลสาบฟูจิทั้ง 5 (ฟูจิโงะโกะ)(Fujigoko) ซึ่งเกิดจากการปะทุของภูเขาไฟ ในงานเขียนของ ฮะเสะงะวะ คะคุเงียว ที่เขียนขึ้นในปลายคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 16 ได้กล่าวถึงทะเลสาบยามานากาโกะ(Yamanakako) และทะเลสาบคาวากุจิโกะ(Kawaguchiko) ว่าเป็นสถานที่ทำพิธีกรรมการชำระล้างจิตใจ และในหนังสือ “ซันจู อิจิ นิจิ โนะ โอะมะคิ” ที่เขียนขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 1733 โดยจิคิกโยะ มิโระคุ (ผู้บุกเบิกความศรัทธาในภูเขาไฟฟูจิ ฟูจิโคะ) ก็ได้กล่าวถึงทะเลสาบทั้ง 8 แห่งในฐานะเป็นสถานที่สำหรับการเดินทางมาแสวงบุญ
โดยมีทะเลสาบยามานากาโกะ(Yamanakako) และทะเลสาบคาวากุจิโกะ(Kawaguchiko) ที่อยู่ในทะเลสาบฟูจิทั้ง 5 รวมอยู่ในทะเลสาบทั้ง 8 แห่งที่ถูกกล่าวถึงด้วย ทั้ง 2 แห่งนี้ยังคงเหลือร่องรอยของสถานที่ที่ทำพิธีกรรมชำระล้างจิตใจอยู่
ทะเลสาบ คาวากุจิโกะ(Kawaguchiko) เป็นทะเลสาบที่มีขนาดใหญ่เป็นอันดับที่ 2 และมีชายฝั่งที่ยาวที่สุดของทะเลสาบฟูจิทั้ง 5 และยังเป็นทะเลสาบเพียงแห่งเดียวในบรรดาทะเลสาบฟูจิทั้ง 5 ที่มีสะพานยื่นเข้าไปในทะเลสาบ ในแต่ละฤดูกาลจะมีดอกไม้สวยงามบานรอบๆ ริมทะเลสาบคาวากุจิโกะ(Kawaguchiko)
ในฤดูใบไม้เปลี่ยนสี ก็จะเต็มด้วยสีของใบไม้ในฤดูใบไม้ร่วง นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถมองเห็นเกาะอุโนะชิมะ(Unoshima)ที่อยู่กลางทะเลสาบ และในวันที่กระแสน้ำในทะเลสาบนิ่งและสงบ คุณก็จะเห็นภาพภูเขาไฟฟูจิ(Fuji))กระทบกับผิวน้ำ
ในบรรดาทะเลสาบฟูจิทั้ง 5 ทะเลสาบคาวากุจิโกะ(Kawaguchiko) มีนักท่องเที่ยวมาเยือนมากที่สุด เป็นทะเลสาบที่มีชื่อเสียงในเรื่องกิจกรรมการตกปลา และกีฬาทางน้ำ บริเวณใกล้ๆ กันนั้นมีพื้นที่โล่งกว้างที่มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับนักท่องเที่ยว อาทิ สวนสนุกขนาดใหญ่, โรงแรม, บ่อน้ำพุร้อนออนเซ็น, พิพิธภัณฑ์งานศิลปะ เป็นต้น
