The Ocean Expo Park, in Okinawa is fun for the whole family!! Located on the tip of the Motobu Peninsula in northern Okinawa Honto, this park was built in 1976 in commemoration of the Okinawa International Ocean Expo 1975.
The park is quite large at about three kilometers along the coast. Though there are walkways between the facilities, visitors have the option of using shuttle buses which operate between the park's attractions. There are at least two buses per hour. The shuttle buses are not free so visitors may choose to spend 200 yen for a one-day unlimited rides pass.
The Churaumi Aquarium located in the Ocean Expo Park is said to be the best aquarium in Japan. In addition there are many fun and exciting facilities in the park! Some of the highlights include the following facilities:
**Oceanic Culture Museum is located just beside the park's central gate. There are displays of ship replicas as well ocean-related displays from other parts of Asia and the South Pacific. Visitors can see a giant replica of a Lakatoi canoe from Papua New Guinea as well as trade ship used for travel between the Ryukyu Kingdom and other Asian countries. There is a planetarium here as well.
**Native Okinawan Village is located next to the Oceanic Culture Museum. This small open air museum displays over twenty residences and other buildings from various time periods and regions of Okinawa. There is no admission fee and visitors can freely wander between the structures.
**Tropical Dream Center is a beautiful botanical garden with an array of tropical trees and plants housed in multiple greenhouses. The center also has a Tower of Babel--a 36 meter tall observatory tower.
**Emerald Beach is an attractive sand beach on the northern part of the park. Emerald Beach is divided into three separate sections: a beach for playing and swimming, a beach for resting and a beach for viewing. Each section is carefully maintained, keeping in mind safety and comfort and most of all, the conservation of nature.

Hours: Park: 8:00 to 19:30 (until 18:00 from October to February)
Individual attractions typically open half an hour later and close half an hour earlier.
Closed: First Wednesday of December and the following day.
Admission: Entry into the park is free, but some attractions require admission:

1. From Naha Bus Center, board highway bus number 111 to Nago Bus Terminal. The journey will take 90 minutes with a cost of 2100 yen.
From Naha Airport, board the same highway bus number 111 to Nago Bus Terminal. The journey will take 105 minutes with a cost of 2190 yen.
2. At Nago Bus Terminal, transfer to bus number 70 to Kinen Koen Mae (記念公園前) bus stop in front of the Ocean Expo Park. The buses are infrequent. The journey will take 50 minutes with a cost of 880 yen.

**By car
From Naha, take the Okinawa Expressway to the northern end near Nago. The toll is 1020 yen. From Nago, travel along the regular roads to cross the Motobu Peninsula to Ocean Expo Park. The journey should take about two hours one way. During rush hour, expect a longer journey.

Nakijin Castle (今帰仁城) is a Ryukyuan castle or fortress (gusuku) located in Nakijin, the main island of Okinawa and one of the UNESCO World Heritage designated Castles of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
The Nakijin Castle Ruins are located on the Motobu Peninsula of northern Okinawa Island and In contrast to other castles on Okinawa, Nakijin Castle stands in an area of low population density with verdant forests that give the ruins with a unique atmosphere.
Nakijin Castle was constructed in the late 1200s. During the Sanzan Period (1322-1429), Okinawa Island was divided into three kingdoms: the Hokuzan in the north, the Chuzan in the middle and the Nanzan in the south. Nakijin was used as the castle of the Hokuzan king until it was taken over by the Chuzan on their way to unifying the island and forming the Ryukyu Kingdom.
In the ground, there is also History and Culture Center with a small museum displaying items unearthed on the castle grounds, such as Chinese pottery, coins and documents besides exhibiting about everyday life and culture of Nakijin Village.

There are six round trips per day. In central Naha, the bus stops at the Prefectural Office (県庁北口), Tomari Port and Furujima Station along the Yurail monorail among other locations.

From Naha to Nago Bus Terminal, board highway bus number 111. (90 minutes, 2040 yen from Naha Bus Center; 105 minutes, 2190 yen from Naha Airport; 1-2 buses/hour) and transfer to bus number 65 or 66.

Air Terjun Hiji berlokasi di sebelah utara area Yambaru di Pulau utama Okinawa. Air terjun ini tingginya sekitar 26 meter dan mendekap di hutan. Air terjun ini bisa dicapai dengan pendakian menarik dan mudah disepanjang jalur alam melewati hutan.
Jalur utamanya sekitar 2 kilometer pedalaman dari jalan utama di sepanjang pesisir barat pulau. Dari jalur utama dengan tol, jarak menuju ke air terjunnya sekitar 1,5 kilometer, dan pendakian menghabiskan sekitar 40 menit untuk sekali perjalanan. Jalur ini dusah diperbaiki dengan baik dan ada beberapa bagian berundak dengan tangga disepanjang jalannya.
Jalur ini berakhir di Air Terjun Hiji, yang memiliki pemandangan menarik. Suara dari aliran air dan suasana tenang dari hutan membuat air terjun ini menjadi spot yang baik untuk beristirahat sebelum mengambil perjalanan pulang ke jalur utama.

Akuarium Churaumi yang terletak di Ocean Expo Park dikatakan menjadi akuarium terbaik yang ada di Jepang. Selain itu ada juga banyak fasilitas menyenangkan dan menarik di taman ini! Beberapa dari hal yang penting termasuk faasilitas berikut ini:
** Museum Budaya Kelautan yang terletak tepat disebelah gerbang pusat taman. Disini dipajang replica kapal yang juga pajangan yang berhubungan dengan laut dari bagian lain Asia dan Pasifik Selatan. Pengunjung bisa melihat replica besar dari Kano Lakatoi dari Papua New Guinea yang berupa kapal perdagangan yang digunakan untuk menjelajah antara kerajaan Ryukyu dan Negara-negara Asia lainnya. Ada juga planetarium disini.
**Desa Asli Okinawa yang terletak di sebelah Museum Budaya Kelautan. Museum terbuka kecil ini memajang lebih dari 20 kediaman dan bangunan lain dari berbagai jaman dan bagian dari Okinawa. Tidak ada biaya tiket masuk dan pengunjung bisa bebas berkeliling diantara bangunan-bangunannya.
** Tropical Dream Center adalah kebun botani yang indah dengan memamerkan pepohonan dan tanaman tropis yang disimpan di beberapa greenhouse. Pusat ini juga memiliki menara Babel—sebuah menara observatory yang tingginya 36 meter.

Buka: taman: pukul 8:00 – 19:30 (sampai pukul 18:00 dari Oktober sampai Februari)
Atraksi individual biasanya buka satu setengah jam kemudian dan tutup satu setengah jam lebih awal.
Tutup: Hari rabu pertama di bulan Desember dan hari berikutnya.
Tiket Masuk: Masuk kedalam taman gratis, tapi beberapa tempat atraksi ada yang membutuhkan tiket masuk.

Informasi Akses
Ocean Expo Park terletak di Semenanjung Motobu di sebelah utara Okinawa Honto, sekitar 90 kilometer dari Naha.
**Bus Express
*Dengan menggunakan bus express Yanbaru:
Naik dari lokasi-lokasi berikut: Bandara Naha, Kantor Prefektur, Pelabuhan Tomari dan Stasiun Furujima. Ada 6 kali perjalanan per harinya. Perjalanannya akan menghabiskan waktu sekitar 2 jam dengan biaya 2000 yen.
**Bus regular
1. Dari Pusat Bus Naha, naik bus highway dengan nomer 111 ke Terminal Bus Naha. Perjalanannya akan menghabiskan waktu 90 menit dengan biaya 2100 yen.
Dari Bandara Naha, naik bus highway yang sama dengan nomer 111 ke Terminal Bus Naha. Perjalanannya akan menghabiskan waktu 105 menit dengan biaya 2190 yen.
2. Di terminal Bus Nago, pindah ke bus dengan nomer 70 ke pemberhentian bus Kinen Koen Mae didepan Ocean Expo Park. Bus ini jarang. Perjalanannya akan menghabiskan waktu 50 menit dengan biaya 880 yen.
*Catatan: ada beberapa bus di jalur 65 dan 66 yang juga akan membawa pengunjung menuju Ocean Expo Park. Tolong cek homepage dari Ocean Expo Park untuk lebih rincinya.
**Dengan Mobil
Dari Naha, gunakan Okinawa Expressway menuju ke ujung utara didekat Nago. Biayanya 1020 yen. Dari Nago, perjalanannya disepanjang jalan biasa untuk menyebrangi Semenanjung Motobu menuju ke Ocean Expo Park. Perjalanannya menghabiskan waktu sekitar 2 jam untuk sekali perjalanan. Selama jam sibuk, akan menghabiskan waktu lebih lama lagi.

今歸仁城(Nakijinjo)是位於沖繩本島今歸仁的要塞(gusuku),被聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)列為世界遺產,名為「琉球王國的王城遺址及相關遺跡」。
今歸仁城的遺址位於沖繩本島的北部,對比沖繩其他的城堡,今歸仁城矗立在低人口密度之地,林木蔥蘢,形成一個獨特的遺址氛圍。
今歸仁城建於13世紀末期。在三山時期(1322年至1429年),沖繩島被分為三大國:北部的北山王國(Hokuzan),中部的中山王國(Chuzan)和南部的南山(Nanzan)。直到被中山王國接管統一形成琉球王國之前,今歸仁曾作為北山王國國王的城堡。
今歸仁城的歷史文化中心有三個常設的展示室,展示包括今歸仁村日常生活和中國製的陶磁器、錢幣等文件。

交通方式:
今歸仁城遺址位於沖繩本島的北部,距離那霸約90公里,從海洋博公園約十分鐘的車程。
山原(Yambaru)高速巴士
山原高速巴士直接連接那霸機場和今歸仁城的市中心。於今歸仁城跡入口(Nakijin Joseki Iriguchi)下車,步行15-20分鐘上山到今歸仁城遺址。單程車程約2.5小時,2000日元,每天有六班車。在那霸市中心,巴士停在縣廳北口、泊港(Tomari Port)和古島站(Furujima Station)以及沿著沖繩都市單軌的其它地區。
定期巴士
從那霸至名護(Nago)巴士總站,搭乘高速巴士111號,90分鐘, 2040日元;從那霸機場,105分鐘, 2190日元。每 1-2小時一班車,之後轉乘65或66號巴士,於今歸仁城跡入口下車,約45-60分鐘,790-1000日元,每小時1-2 班巴士。之後步行15-20分鐘上山即可到達今歸仁城跡。
