***ETSY:
Yanagawa is a perfect day trip from Fukuoka in Kyushu. We went there in the afternoon, after visiting Dazaifu in the morning. We got the Dazaifu and Yanagawa Sightseeing Ticket from Nishitestu railways, which includes the return trip by train and a punting trip in Yanagawa. There are various other packages too, including some that include a meal at an eel restaurant, which is a local specialty. It's a relaxing and beautiful place to visit!

Yanagawa Day Trip
My day trip to Yanagawa, Kyushu, Japan - ate some unagi, visited one of the 100 best roads in Japan, and the Hiyoshi shrine, and failed to find the missing castle ruins.
[Japan] Fukuoka - Yanagawa
As i was walking through shopping streets in Fukuoka, I ended up in Canal City Hakata mall where random J pop boysbands were peforming, then I went to Sumiyoshi shrine, Fukuoka castle ruins where you can get a great view of the city and finished my days by a walk (and a cake obviously) in Ohori park.
I took a daytrip to Yanagawa, nicknamed Japan's little Venice because of its many canals found all around town. I had steamed eel for lunch, a local specialty, and it was delicious! :)

Japanese Castle Ruins & Ohori Park - Fukuoka Vlog
We found cherry blossoms at Fukuoka Castle!! Explore the Japanese castle ruins, Maizuru Park & Ohori Park in Fukuoka (Kyushu, Japan).
SUBSCRIBE for more Japan vlogs & tips to plan your trip!
Maizuru Park is a park in Fukuoka with the ruins of the castle. It's a great spot for cherry blossom viewing in late March/early April. They often have special events; I spotted a Yayoi Kusama pumpkin for a temporary Art in the Castle event. Ohori Park is right next door - a large park with a lake and a fun walkway across the middle, with bridges and swan boats. A good place to go running, stroll around or just relax during your time in Fukuoka.

Japan Walk - Hakone Botanical Garden Of Wetlands (箱根湿生花園) - 4K
In this video we’ll show you Hakone Botanical Garden Of Wetlands (箱根湿生花園), Kanagawa.
This unique botanical garden, which display most of the aquatic plants seen in japanese wetlands, was first established in 1976. The botanical garden is located in Hakone-Sengokuhara, 650m (2,200 feet ) above sea level.
The Garden, which was formerly a flat area containing rice paddies, is now a specially designed ecosystem consisting of man-made hills, rockeries, ponds, streams and several different types of moors. It consists of eight divisions; namely, 4 moors, a swampforest, am upland forest, a meadow and an alpine garden, whose flowers present a continuously changing picture with the seasons.
In this Garden more than a thousand species of wild herbaceous and woody plants are collected and displayed as natural plant communities. Since individual plants are placed in a natural situation, the Garden should help you not only to identity each plant, but also to recognize its natural locality.

Myoban Yu no Sato Onsen - Oita - 明礬 湯の里温泉 - 4K Ultra HD
Nestled in the hills overlooking Beppu city, Myoban Onsen one of Beppu’s eight hot spring areas famous for its “Yu-no-Hana” or “Hot Spring Flowers” compounds made from iron and aluminum minerals said to have positive effects on hemostasis and diarrhea. One of the most famous Onsen of Myoban is Yu no Sato Hot Spring Village due to its beautiful old thatched roof covered onsen huts designed to harvest these minerals.
Now turned half museum, half Onsen, Myoban Yu no Sato also gives you the chance to enjoy all year long Myoban onsen water in private huts for a fee. Also make sure to book in advance as these little huts are quite popular!
This video was made in Cooperation with Tourism Oita. Learn more about Oita Prefecture at

Shimabara Castle - Shimabara, Japan 島原城:島原、日本
Shimabara Castle is located in Shimabara, Japan. This castle sits between the popular Mount Unzen and Ariake Bay. This castle is five stories tall and was originally built in 1624 until 1874. The castle has since been rebuilt and now acts as a museum, while the moats and stone walls are still part of the original structure.

FUKUOKA - Shofuen 松風園
Shofuen is a tourist attraction in Fukuoka but not well known for the general foreign tourists, since it is not frequently mentioned in most tour guides written in English or Korean. But still Shofuen is a tourist spot designated by Fukuoka city government. It is a Japanese garden which also serves as a cafe and salon.
When I arrived here, the weather was warm with smooth sunshine falling slowly on the grass, the corridor and the balcony. Since most visitors were aged 40 or more, it was really quiet and I was the youngest person. I had a chance to recharge my laptop and my smartphone, and a chance to relax sitting alone in tatami room.
If I were rich, I would have bought a house that looks like this. Shofuen is located in the center of a small hill, which is mainly surrounded by a forest. If you want to find a place where you can be pensive and relaxed, don't hesitate to come here!!
