Balranald to Mungo National Park
Here is a very shortened version of my journey between Balranald and Mungo National Park in Outback NSW using Burke Wills Rd and Box Creek Rd, past many dry lake beds and towards an overnight storm.
Tilden Sheep Shearing Station, NSW
The guys at Arboressence and Treespec did a bit of sightseeing around Balranald, New South Wales, Australia and drove up north to pay the Tilden Sheep Shearing Station a visit. They did a fantastic job preparing the competition trees for Red Bull Branched Out and had some well-deserved R & R. However, we don’t think that they’ll be swapping their climbing harnesses for shearing clippers anytime soon!
Conveniently, the Homebush Hotel pub is located in between Balranald and Tilden Station so it’s a perfect excuse for a quick refuel on the way back to town.
Have you registered for the comp yet? If you have any questions about it or are unsure about any aspect of the event, just send us a PM! If you're up for the challenge, register now at

Frogs in Balranald, NSW
If you're coming down to Balranald, New South Wales, Australia to be part of Red Bull Branched Out you'll notice that not only is the town surrounded by beautiful scenery, but it's also surrounded by a lot of... frogs!
The Southern Bell Frog (Litoria raniformis), also known as the Growling Grass Frog because of the sound of its call, is a large handsome frog that lives in semi-permanent wetlands in south-eastern Australia.
Once widespread and abundant, the frog is endangered and listed on the NSW Endangered Species List. The distribution of the Growling Grass Frog in NSW is now restricted to a few areas along the Murrumbidgee River and lower Murrumbidgee Flood Plain around Balranald.
It is understood that these areas are potentially very good frog habitat and that has been reflected in the apparent high numbers of the Barking Frog and other frog species counted in the Balranald area in recent years. Being aware of local frog numbers, local businesses and the Balranald Council are promoting this unique frog situation.
Registrations for Red Bull Branched Out closes on 29th September so if you're thinking of competing, be sure to get in quick!

RSPB Balranald in Outer Hebrides
This video speaks about RSPB Balranald in Outer Hebrides. It is a very good place to have a walk, to see birds and to take photos of nature.
Explore a wildlife-rich grassland haven on the beautiful Scottish island of North Uist. This stunning Hebridean nature reserve has sweeping sandy beaches, a rocky foreshore, wild marshes and sculpted sand dunes. It's the perfect place to learn about traditional crofting agriculture, corncrakes and other wildlife.
There is a campsite close to this place.

Bree Scott Agent Profile Ray White Swan Hill
I grew up in Balranald and moved to Swan Hill to be with my partner Jordan. I have lived in Swan Hill for a few years now and I am loving it. Previously I worked at the Balranald Shire Council for four years in the revenue office. I’ve been working in the real estate industry for approx. two years.
Initially I started working at reception, then worked as a property manager and now as an Executive Assistant I thrive in the role of providing marketing and sales support, to the sales team. I love the real estate industry because I get to meet so many amazing people and the joy it brings when you see their faces if they have been approved for a rental property or if they have just purchased their first home. Like every job, there are everyday challenges, however knowing you’ve helped someone buy/sell or rent the right place makes it all worthwhile. I approach every situation with a positive attitude and aim to help each and every client wherever possible.
I’m very passionate, driven and always up for a chat so if you’re around pop in and say hello. Outside of working hours I enjoy playing netball, socialising with my friends, going to the gym and travelling.
