Swimming with Whale Sharks at Mafia Island, Tanzania

December 2013. We went out with Afro's Whale Shark Safari tour. Afro is a legend, a local, and the best Whale Shark tourist operator from Mafia Island. Apologies for the bit of shaky footage haha, it was the best we could do with the Sony. Amazing experience.

MBUNGE wa Viti Maalumu Mkoa wa Pwani Zaynabu Matitu Vulu akiambatana na mwenyeji wake Mbunge wa wa Jimbo la Mafia Mbaraka Kitwana Dau, Jumamosi ya April 20 wametembelea Kambi ya Vijana wa UVCCM wanaojenga majengo kwenye shule ya sekondari ya Kata ya Kiegeani.

Wabunge hao walifika katika shule hiyo kujionea namna Vijana hao wanavyofanyakazi hiyo, ikiwa ni kuiunga mkono serikali katika utekelezaji wa kazi za kimaemdeleo.

Baada ya taarifa zilizotolewa kwenye msafara huo, wabunge hao wakiwa na viongozi wengine walijitosa katika ujenzi, kabla ya kuelekea kwenye Zahanati ya Kijiji cha Malimbani ambapo Vulu amekabidhi kitanda, huku Dau akikabidhi mashine ya kusambaza maji.

Safari Ngorongoro Crater - 5th of February 2018

A one day safari with driver Vincent from Africa Scenic in the caldera of Ngorongoro, with many wild animals and a special scene of a hungry jackal, that is trying to hunt (and eat) a new born wildebeast, who's been born only a short while ago. The wildebeast and its calf in the end manage to escape and run back to their flock.

Tanzania Marine Highlights

Tanzania's coast is home to some of the most spectacular diving in the world. The crystal clear waters host a wealth of marine habitats and wildlife, making this a perfect location to learn to scuba dive and explore this pristine and magical underwater world. The vivid, multi-hued coral reefs support a dazzling array of tropical reef fish and provide rich feeding grounds for turtles, rays and other marine creatures, whilst the deep blue offshore waters support sharks, dolphins and whale sharks, as well as vast shoals of cruising pelagics.

As you explore the diverse seascape you will discover and chart extensive areas of undamaged coral, record healthy populations of fish, note turtle behaviour, sight marine mammals, and learn to recognise a huge diversity of inter-tidal animals from tiny hermit crabs to pastel-hued anemones. On shore you may have the chance to work in the lush mangrove forests, unique ecosystems which straddle water and land. You'll learn about the activities of the traditional shark fishermen and the inter-tidal gleaning women, as well as discovering and reporting which marine organisms are being sustainably harvested and which are being dangerously depleted.
