Our second vlog in Taiwan!
Our plan was to see Yanmingshan as well as Shilin night market. We had a little trouble with the buses on the way to the the national park, but we figured it out. Walked in circles a little bit, no sweat.
The national park was a little foggy, which hurt our view from atop Mt. Qixing.. But we enjoy hiking so we made the most of it! Shilin night market felt like the highlight of the day! Everywhere you look there was something interesting or something you've never seen before. Just great!
All in all, a great day in Taiwan!

Second day tour was going to see the Flower Clock in Yangmingshan National Park. We were not able to see the other spots as it is raining.
Itinerary:
5:00AM -9:00AM Wake up / Breakfast
9:00AM -10:00PM
Tourist Spot: Yangmingshan National Park
From Ximen, alight to Taipei Main and transfer to train going to Jiantan
Ride Bus R5 to Yangmingshan
To tour around Yangmishan, ride Bus 108
Tourist Spot: Shilin Market
Ride Bus R5 to Jiantan Station
From Jiantan, walk to Shilin Market
NOTES: Recommended to go here on Spring for the Cherry Blossoms. Better to check the weather especially when going to the mountain.

My first real hike (and hitchhike) in Taipei.. Incredible views, endless laughter and memories hard to forget.
The hike took place in the Yangmingshan National Park, located under an hour from Taipei city centre. We went to the top of Xiaoguanyin / Mount Guanyin.

TAIWAN VLOG | Day 3: Yangmingshan and Tamsui Lover's Bridge & Old Street
DAY 3 BLOGPOST:
On our 3rd day in Taiwan, we went to Yangmingshan National Park. To get there, take MRT to Jiantan Exit 1. Walk to the Bus stop located on the left side after you exit. You can ride Bus R5 or S15 to Yangminshan. In our case, we took R5 for 7NTD.
At Yangmingshan there is an Information Center (I think? lol), that's where we got our 1-day unlimited bus ticket for 60 NTD.
It was not the perfect weather when we went to Yangmingshan because it freakin' cold that time. It's about 6C degrees and little did we know, it snowed that night. Plus, it was raining sooo hard and it's super windy that I couldn't feel my face, hands, and legs. #thestruggleisreal lol
After Yangmingshan, we went back to Shilin to eat some pasta then head straight to Tamsui.
To get to Tamsui Lover's Bridge. Take MRT Tamsui, after you exit walk
towards the Bus Stop and take 紅26 (Red 26), 836, or 857 to Fisherman's Wharf. We took 紅26. After Lover's Bridge, we went to Tamsui Old Street, you can also take the same bus to get back to Tamsui Old Street.

A mountain-top flatland park, Qingtiangang provides amazing views of Yangmingshan National Park.
By definition a lava terrace, the area was formed as a result of volcanic activity in the mountains nearby. After the eruption of Mt. Zhugao, the lava flowed north towards the area, creating this unique landscape.
During the Japanese occupation, the area was established as a ranch for cattle to graze. The park is still home to cows and other wildlife.
This area of Yangmingshan is very easily shrouded in clouds due to its elevation.
Wow HOW TO GET THERE?
From Christopher church Zhongshan sakay po kayo ng 260 bus #. 30 to 45min ang byahe last end of yangmingshan termenal.
Pagkadating nyo don pila agad kau sa 108 line for second bus dahil marami pong mga tao umaakyat doon baka dipa kau maka upo . Merun pong 6 station bus stop
NASA mga 15 to 25min ang paakyat ng bundok dahil nasa pinakadulo ang grassland.

Hiking in Yangmingshan National Park in Taipei
Parts 20-23: Went hiking in Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山國家公園) in Taipei with my friend Yuanyuan. To get there, we met at the Jiantan MRT station (which is also where the Shilin Night Market is) and waited over an hour to get on the 小15 bus. It was about 8:30am on a Sunday. We thought we came early but there were already a lot of people lined up. The park wasn't crowded at all though, as you can see in the video. It was a nice, leisurely hike, with cicadas providing surround sound background music.
