Russia: See two one-month-old WHITE LION cubs at Yaroslavl Zoo
Two white lion cubs celebrated their first month of life at Yaroslavl Zoo in Russia, Saturday. The two cubs, a male and a female, born in early March to white lion parents Lava and Jaros, have opened their eyes and are already actively crawling, according to zoo staff. The cubs will be released into the enclosure on May 1, when visitors will be able to see their first public appearance.

Baikal seal pup Yaroslavl Zoo star-to-be
Zookeepers say a Baikal seal pup named Zaika who has lived in the Yaroslavl Zoo since early May has become a visitors' favorite.
Local fishermen found the baby seal in a small lagoon in the Irkutsk region. They handed her over to the amateur biologist Yury Karpov, who reared the pup and named her Zaika. Later, Karpov placed the baby seal in a zoo.
