Yarra Valley Railway
The Yarra Valley Railway (YVR) is a completely volunteer, not-for-profit community based organisation that is restoring the railway between Healesville and Yarra Glen.
The YVR commenced passenger train services from Healesville Station to Tarrawarra Estate on the Walker Railmotor RM22 on the 17th July 2010—the first passenger train service in 30 years.
The YVR currently has over 500 members and is solely run by Volunteers. Since the commencement of this passenger train service, the YVR has focused its efforts on the restoration of the remainder of the rail corridor, from Tarrawarra Estate to Yarra Glen. visit

Melbourne Australia Road Trip - Puffing Billy Train & Healesville Sanctuary Day Tour
We take a ride to the Healesville Sanctuary on the Puffing Billy, Melbourne, Australia's oldest operating steam train, through the spectacular rain forest of tall mountain ask, eucalyptus and fern filled gullies. The railway was originally one of five narrow gauge lines of the Victorian Railways opened around the beginning of the 20th century. This train ride was so cool! Then onto Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary for our tour. Healesville Sanctuary, home to over 200 species of Australian birds, mammals and reptiles, all in a natural bushland setting. Maggie, the Wombat was the BEST PART of the DAY! Individual time with her to pat, play, feed, learn about it! AWESOME! LIKE + SUBSCRIBE + COMMENT + SHARE!
