Chorley is a market town in Lancashire, England, 8.1 miles north of Wigan, 10.8 miles south west of Blackburn, 11 miles north west of Bolton, 12 miles south of Preston and 19.5 miles north west of Manchester. Chorley wealth came principally from the cotton industry.
The principal river in the town is the Yarrow. The Black Brook is a tributary of the Yarrow. The name of the River Chor was back-formed from Chorley and runs not far from the centre of the town, notably through Astley Park. Chorley is located at the foot of the West Pennine Moors and is overlooked by Healey Nab, a small hill which is part of the West Pennine Moors. It is the seat for the Borough of Chorley which is made up of Chorley and its surrounding villages.
Chorley is bisected by the A6 Roman road which goes straight through the town centre. The town's bus station, Chorley Interchange, opened in February 2003, replacing an older bus station also in the town centre. The main central railway station is Chorley railway station in the town centre. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs parallel to Chorley and several marinas and locks are located on the Chorley area.

Sunday afternoon at Yarrow Valley Park, Chorley with DJI Phantom 3 drone.
Yarrow Valley Park is a country park located in Chorley, Lancashire, England. Surrounded by woodland the park includes lodges, playground, café and nature reserves.
Filmed with DJI Phantom 3 Standard using Litchi. Shot in 2.7k and edited using Final Cut Pro. I spent a bit more time editing this video, it is nothing special but I enjoyed putting it together and learning new things.

ScullyDroneTime episode 2.
After nearly a year out, I decided to get back into my drone hobby. I bought a refurbished DJI Mavic Pro from a place called Scan Computers in Bolton.
This second episode in the new season is basically my first few flights with my new drone. It includes footage from Chorley & Whalley both found in lovely Lancashire in the UK.
I have plenty more new drone video ideas and will also be doing some vlogging if i can pluck up some courage of course.
I have edited this video using imovie on MAC OSX.
I have a Iphone 8 plus which which is where some of the video/photo will come from and as i have already mentioned a DJI MAVIC PRO drone.
Please comment with ideas for drone videos in the north-west of England. Also ideas for videos in Cornwall, UK as i will be visiting there at the end of May.

A late afternoon walk on 11 January 2014 , Along a path marked as an ancient highway. The path starts in Drybones Wood, Birkacre and follows the River Yarrow. I walked the path taking the Grundy's Lane route, until I reached Wigan Road in Duxbury. I have so far not been able to find any history or information about the ancient highway.
