This special travel blog is a trip down memory lane. My family lived in Yate 39 years ago plus, and as a child i played around the streets and park near my home. Yate has been around since medieval times and had 4 manor houses. In the 1960's it was considered a NEW TOWN, and had extensive urban development. The shopping area had several refurbs and additions the latest being a cinema and shops that opened a month ago.
