Winter has gone and getting warm outside these days!!
YES spring has come around here in Kyoto again also this year, the flowers & trees came to life with the coming of spring.
The beginning of April in Japan is the month for cherry trees to blossom throughout the country and brings crowds of people to the famous parks, Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
I would definitely recommend coming in spring or fall if you are ever able to come to Japan. Hope you enjoy!!

Beautiful Kyoto: Sakura at the Sewaritei River Park [4K]
Popular among locals but as of yet unknown to many tourists, journey southwest of Kyoto to find the Sewaritei riverbank, where a 1.4 kilometer long path is lined on both sides with tall, bountiful cherry trees. The sakura tunnel effect at this riverside park in Yawata city is absolutely gorgeous, and you can even picnic underneath the branches heavy with flowers. In a nearby area vendors set up selling tasty snacks and souvenirs, and depending on the day you might see some entertainment during April's cherry blossom season. Those interested can even take a short boat ride along the path. As beautiful as this place is, make sure you get there early if you want a prime spot to lay your picnic blanket down!

You can either take the
NARITA EXPRESS (Japan Rail JR) or
KEISEI “SKYLINER” or Express trains.
I always take KEISEI because it’s cheaper and it connects with the TOEI SHINJUKU Subway Line at Motoyawata, 56 minutes away / ¥780 (super cheap!)

Beautiful Kyoto: Kibune in the Snow
A lot of people have asked us if it ever snows in Kyoto. Well, the answer is yes, and when it does it’s absolutely beautiful! Though somewhat uncommon in the city center, you're more likely to experience a snowy Kyoto in the northern areas, such as Kibune village. However, due to the warmer weather this year, even Kibune, which usually gets covered in a blanket of snow, has only seen brief snowfall.
A couple of years ago we were lucky enough to capture the exquisite sight of snow-covered Kifune Shrine, and we are excited to share the winter magic with you all now. If you are looking to experience a sparkling white Kyoto, the coldest months are January and February. We can’t guarantee it will snow while you're here, but we can guarantee that if it does you won't ever forget it!

Life in Japan 3: Furumachi and the Hunt For the Sea in Niigata April 6, 2017
Hello Everyone,
Today is my last off in Spring break before I am working for more than a week straight. I wanted to spend it out exploring Niigata City instead of just sitting at home. I left home and ran into a bunch of friendly ladies. I wound up missing my train into the city, but it’s ok because I think establishing myself in the community is just as important. On the train I double checked the weather, and found out the forecast now was calling for rain in the afternoon. The price yo u pay for living between the ocean and the mountains. I Checked out the Furumachi Shopping district and headed over the the ocean. From there I headed home, but along the way I came across an underground mall and an above ground mall. I stopped it Uniqlo and bought a few work shirts and the made it back to the station.
