A Look Around the Beautiful Yellow Dragon Cave in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
Huanglong Cave or, in English, Yellow Dragon Cave is a karst cave situated within the scenic Zhangjiajie region of Hunan province in China. The grounds that surround the cave also make for a great site-seeing trip.
Inside the cave visitors can experience the unique and beautifully illuminated natural structures of the cave set amongst underground waterfalls, rivers and even a lake.
A guided tour through the cave takes around 2 hours and allows visitors to take a boat trip down an underground river. This remarkable attraction is currently visited by over 1 million people each year and is a perfect example of China's stunning and diverse natural landscape. For more information please see:

The Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Cave is located right outside Zhangjiajie and has, possibly, the greatest concentration of cave stalagmites in China. We've been in many caves before but Huanglong interested us because a subterranean river runs through it. Now THAT is interesting!
Loaded into a Disney World Pirates of The Caribbean type tour boat (I kept waiting for yo ho...yo hoo), we glided on the subterranean river through lit up chambers. Watch the video to see for yourself if Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) cave is a hit...or a miss....

Let's take a walk along one of the longest glass bridges in China (longest in Hunan province). Then we walk along the cliffside down a path into the valley of the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyons. We take a short river boat cruise along the water channel. In the afternoon we get lost in the depths of the Huanglong Cave (translates to English as Yellow Dragon). There we also take a short boat ride through the large caverns. So many stalactites and stalagmites. Amazing!

Der Yellow Dragon Cave und die chinesische Version des Grand Canyons in Zhangjiajie, standen als nächstes auf meinem Reiseplan. In der heutigen Episode von WeltreisemitAlex ???? begeben wir uns also wieder unter die Erde und erforschen eine chinesische Höhle. Interessant finde ich dabei den Vergleich meinem Besuch in der Slowakei, als es auch schon einmal in eine Tropfsteinhöhle ging. Viel Spaß mit den Eindrücken!

Day 3: went to 3 different attractions.
Woke up at 5:30am
Went to the glass bridge, i thought we were just walking on the bridge, didn't know it covers the canyon too. No wonder the guide said 4hrs min this attraction.
The cave 2 hours
I thought its a small cave. I didn't know it is so huge! So many stairs in one day, my knee can't take it!
End of day 3 in this China trip, I am already wishing I'm home. I just dead tired.
