Wildlife you will see includes Rocky Mountain Elk, Bison, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Rocky Mountain Goats, Moose, and of course American Black Bear and Grizzly Bear. Located 5 miles south of Rexburg, Idaho on US HWY 20 we are easily accessible from both Jackson Hole, Wyoming and West Yellowstone, Montana.
Bottle Feeding Bear Cubs & A Bear Licks our Camper! - Adventures at Yellowstone Bear World
Yellowstone Bear World is located in Rexburg, Idaho. It happened to be near the campground we had stopped at for the night, and the roadside signs and good reviews lured us in. We absolutely loved seeing the animals while driving through the park - which was easy to do even while towing our camper! After the drive-thru zoo experience we were able to park our vehicle and set out on foot. The kids loved the fact that the rides were unlimited (included with admission - and they rode them for hours!). They also adored the petting zoo area and learning more about the cute fuzzy cubs through the bear bottle feeding experience. It was incredibly well done. The staff was helpful and informative and we felt very safe and learned so much. Thank you Yellowstone Bear World! We hope to return someday!

*AMAZING* BEAR ENCOUNTER AT BEAR WORLD! (YELLOWSTONE)
We went to Bear World in Yellowstone! This was a family trip to Idaho and we got to visit this amazing park and have bear encounters! We also got to see baby bears, pet a baby dear, and ride some amusement park rides. Even though we stayed in Wyoming, we were by the state line road that divides Wyoming and Idaho.
We also got to visit Green Canyon Hot Springs in Idaho. This is a natural hot springs that has been open since the 1950's! They have hot springs pools, as well as a cold plunge.
We loved that we got to take our kids to have these adventures in Idaho in the area where Kellen's mom grew up. If you go to Idaho and are in this area, make sure and give both Bear World and Green Canyon Hot Springs a visit!

Project 2021: The Revitalization of Pioneer Village - Roundup 150 Entry [A NoLimits 2 Park]
A Utah Coaster Enthusiast’s Production:
Project 2021: The Revitalization of Pioneer Village
I believe Pioneer Village to be one of Lagoon’s greatest assets. A living museum of how life was back in the late 1800’s in the state of Utah, United States. However, in 2017 it will have been 20 years since a ride was added in the area, back when Rattlesnake Rapids was added in 1997. This is mostly because of how close Pioneer Village is to the City of Farmington, Utah and the noise levels rides make. Lagoon has added small things to Pioneer Village since but no major rides. I have set this video to be for the 2021 season. For three main reasons:
1. It will be Pioneer Villages 45th anniversary at the park
2. It will be 100 years since Lagoon built their last wooden roller coaster, being Roller Coaster built in 1921.
3. It would be 6 years since the major 26 million dollar investment that is Cannibal and Lagoon typically waits 4-5 years between large additions.
I think a good western themed roller coaster is just what Pioneer Village needs. Will it ever happen? Probably not, as it is too close to the City of Farmington, Utah and the homeowners complain about the noise and wood coasters are very loud rides. I would love for it to happen but I am not holding my breath.
The S&S Screamin’ Swing I do think one ride Lagoon is missing from their collection of rides. These are great and very fun rides and as with most rides from S&S very easy on maintenance and operating costs and they are manufactured just one hour drive away from Lagoon in Logan, Utah. It is pretty much a no brainer, you would think.
The coaster design is influenced by GCI (Great Coasters International) wood coaster design but is not intended to be a GCI design. The lift is influenced from RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) as a way to fit a wood coaster lift in an area where a traditional wood roller coaster lift could not fit or work. The lift of this ride goes over Farmington Creek and with the close proximity of the buildings of Pioneer Village; a traditional wide wood coaster lift structure would not work. Therefore, the lift structure would be constructed out of steel and able to span the creek.
The design is intended to perfectly fit in Pioneer Village and to not affect any of the buildings except one. The blacksmith shop would be moved slightly to the north of its current position for the Tunnel entrance. The Main Street clock will also receive a new flowerbed around it and new seating around it. This is mainly because for the tunnel to be constructed it would be moved temporarily. Also with the recently added Swig drink stand (2016) on the south end of the Village it would make sense to have some more seating in that area as to make it a kind of gathering place on the south end of Pioneer Village.
As you probably already guessed, a large part of the project sits on ground currently occupied by the Zoo. I have nothing against the zoo and know personally that the animals receive only the best treatment possible. However, I feel that it needs to go or be reduced in size. The land it is sitting on is very valuable space in the heart of the park and can be better utilized as my video shows but the better utilization is not limited to just my idea for the space.
I hope you enjoyed my video Project 2021 it is an idea I have had in mind for a long time and finally had the skills and ability to make it come true in the digital world, at least.
Disclaimer:
This video and concept are my own ideas; I have no knowledge of anything Lagoon is planning in the future.

Bear Valley from the Air - 07/05/2014
On Saturday, 07/05/2014, we escaped the heat of the Treasure Valley and headed up into the mountains. Our route took us up through Horseshoe Bend, Banks, and then veered eastward to Garden Valley, and then Lowman. From there, we rolled up ID-21 before hanging a hard left, and dropping into the lush meadows of Bear Valley.
We first headed up to Dagger Falls along the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. After checking out the falls, grabbing a bite to eat, and then cooling off in the river after a little hike, we began our journey back toward home.
On the way out, we stopped along NF-568, and I took my P2V+ for a little flight across the meadows. There was a bit more of a breeze than I am used to in my limited flight experience, so I did not venture too high. Around the 02:14 mark, I took it up to about 85', and it looked like it was getting tossed around a bit, so I held there and panned around for views of the valley.

Ride along Highway 287 in Montana alongside Hebgen Lake. Lake was formed in 1959 when a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck the area. The earthquake cause a vertical rising of 20 ft along the fault. You can see us approaching, then passing, the site of the Madison Canyon landslide that was caused by the earthquake. It killed 26 people were killed and 19 are still buried.. The landslide created Hebgen Lake. Dead trees on the lakeside were killed when the lake was formed by the backed up water from the landslide.
