Yeongdodaegyo is the only single-leafed bascule bridge of Korea and locating in Busan.
Initially built in 1934 and not involving boat traffic anymore.
But, this bridge still gets lifted for crowds and people can see it once a day at 14:00.

Yeongdo Bridge 영도대교 - Busan, South Korea
The raising and lowering of the bridge is apparently an event that a lot of people find worth watching. This bridge was completed in the 1930s and is raised for larger boats to past through around 2pm everyday. You can find this bridge right outside of Nampo subway station.
If you want a better view of the bridge without being overly crowded, make sure to cross the bridge so that you can see it from the other side before 2pm. There are way less people on this side, just stay out of the way of the fishers...which isn't hard to do at all.
Several major tourist attractions such as Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish Market and Gukje Market (closed on Sundays) can also be found in this area.

Completed in 1934, Busandaegyo Bridge connects Yeongdo Island to the mainland. It serves as an industrial road that facilitates the transport of freight and cargo from Yeondong-gu District, the center of the shipbuilding industry and an emerging port.
Busandaegyo Bridge is 260 meters long and 20 meters wide, with 16 meters for cars and 2 meters of sidewalk on each side. A boat of up to 14 meters in height can pass beneath the bridge, so ships can easily travel between the ports to the north and south. Situated parallel to Busandaegyo Bridge is Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, and the distance between these two bridges is about 100 meters.
Both ends of the bridge are connected to an elevated road that is 30 meters long and 16-20 meters wide. The bridge also leads to the expressway (17.5km in length and 22.5m in width), which then connects to Gyeongbu Expressway.
Compared to other bridges built at around the same time, Busandaegyo Bridge has a greater significance in the hearts of the citizens as it was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Busan Port and symbolizes the development of the city.

Beach season is just about here for three famous spots in the port city of Busan. With the early summer heat driving demand, here's a look at how these beaches are preparing to receive vacationers from this Thursday.

This is Haeundae Beach in the port city of Busan with its endless blue sea. Workers are floating buoy markers to indicate restricted swimming zones. Meanwhile on the beach, an excavator is ceaselessly tilling the sand floor. Timed with the beach's early opening, the 119 rescue squad has also set up a watchtower.

A tourist information center is also undergoing a last minute renovation before its reopening.
[Soundbite] Choo Gyo-yun(Haeundae Tourist Facility Management Office) : We are making preparations into the night and also on weekends to minimize any public inconvenience at the beach.
A cable car ride shows a different view from above. Here at Songdo Beach, cable cars are going through test runs. The entire course is 1.6 kilometers long and 86 meters above in the air at the highest point.

Finally In Busan (SOUTH KOREA) Yeaaaay!!! :)
Staying near Haeundae Beach.
Day 1 : Visited Lotte department store, Yeongdodaegyo bridge, BIFF square (eating Ssiat hotteok and watching an unexpected parade), Yeongdusan park, Gukje market and Gwangan bridge / Gwangali beach.
Yeongdodaegyo bridge is the first suspension bridge in busan.
In the past people gathered here to engrave their names on the bridge rails and receive news of their families during the korean war.
the bridge is raised once every day at noon. many tourists take pictures with the raised bridge in the background.
Gwangan bridge is equipped with 3D landscape lighting which is composed of world's largest bridge LED light and acoustic system, shedding light on the night sea and accros the beach.
The lighting system runs from sunset to midnight during weekdays (Sun. - Thur.) and from sunset to 2 a.m. during the weekend (Fri. - Sat.).
