Yeruham Park and Lake
Yeruham Park and Lake are located in the hills of the northern Negev, near the town of Yeruham. The park is just west of the town. KKL JNF planted a lot of trees around the lake and arranged green lawns and a playground. The Yeruham lake is manmade created in the Nahal Revivim streambed. The park has a lot of tables and areas arranged for barbecue.

Drive of about 34 km on Route 225 and Route 224 that is in The Negev in Israel, from Yorqe'am Junction that is on Route 206 to HaNegev Junction that is on Highway 40. At this trip we traveled in HaMakhtesh HaGadol (The Big Crater) and Yeruham. And we traveled near: Route 227; Zin Oron Industrial Area; Colored Sands; Avnon Ascent

על גלגלים מגישים לכם נסיעה בת כ- 34 קמ על כביש 225 וכביש 224. התחלנו בצומת ירקעם שעל כביש 206 וסיימנו בצומת הנגב שעל כביש 40. במהלך הנסיעה עברנו במכתש הגדול הנקרא גם מכתש חתירה ובירוחם.
עברנו ליד כביש 227; אזור תעשייה צין אורון; חולות צבעוניים ומעלה אבנון

Ben Gurion Park - Accessible Facilities and a Magnificent Lake in Dimona’s
Dimona’s Ben Gurion Park has been upgraded, thanks to from the support of KKL-JNF Holland, and its amenities, including the impressive sculpture playground, have been made accessible for people with disabilities. The artificial lake is now in an advanced stage of construction. A delegation from KKL-JNF Holland visited the park recently and its members saw for themselves how the improvements are progressing.
Yeruham Fortress Aerial View (Biblewalks.com)
On the southeast side of Lake Yeruham are ruins of a Nabatean/Roman fortress. It protected the road from Mamshit (Mampsis) to Avdat (Obada) - the Nabatean cities in the Negev along the Incense and Spice route.
The fortress started as a tower and stables during the Late Roman period, then residential houses were added in the Byzantine period.

Dimona - Yeruham Area Floods שיטפונות באזור דימונה - ירוחם
משקעים בעוצמה גבוהה ירדו ב-27.4.2018 במרחב שבין דימונה לירוחם. ניקוז מקומי הציף את אזור חוות צברי אורלי וסביבתה, ויצר זרימה שוצפת באוכה צומת דימונה. נחל ירוחם שטף את פארק אגם ירוחם ומילא את האגם, שמימיו החלו לגלוש מעבר לסכר האגם ולזרום לכיוון נחל רביבים.
Intensive precipitation brought floods to the Negev Desert areas of Dimona and Yeruham on 27.4.2018. The area of Orly Cactus Farm was flooded, bringing intensive flow of water towards the Dimona Junction area. Wadi Yeruham filled the Yeruham Lake, and its water kept flowing above the lake dam towards Wadi Revivim.
