I will be taking you on a tour in a charming ceramics town named Yingge (鶯歌), in Taiwan. It is a very popular getaway destination for both locals and tourists alike. From pottery making to food to dainty little teacups, it is the perfect place to visit for a taste of Asia!

The crew travels by train to Yingge a town famous for its pottery and ceramics. 一夥人搭火車來到以陶器和製陶業聞名的鶯歌。
鶯歌區是台灣新北市西南方的一個市轄區，由於境內盛產窯土，因此以陶瓷製造工業發達、陶器製品、瓷器製品、藝術工作室及工藝品商店而聞名。Yingge District ( literally: oriole song township in Chinese ) is an urban district in southwestern New Taipei City ,Taiwan. It is famous for the production of pottery, porcelain, art studios and craft shops. ( Ying鶯→ oriole or warbler, ge歌→ song. )
鶯歌北面山脈斜坡有一顆如鸚巨石，被稱為「鸚哥石」，「鸚鵡」有方言稱「鸚哥」，經過改名成為發音完全相同的「鶯歌」、使之更加典雅優美。Yingge District lies a rock formation by the names of Parrot Stone on its northern side. Parrot in a dialect of Taiwan as ”鸚哥Yingge” pronounce the identical pronunciation to 鶯哥Yingge as refined “oriole song” elegantly.

Yingge's reputation for high quality ceramics began after potters and brick makers began to produce tea sets to accompany specially cultivated tea locally produced by Hakka Chinese immigrants.
Originally named Yingge Stone Village (鶯歌石庄), the town has since been renamed multiple times, including Yingge Village (鶯歌庄), Yingge Street (鶯歌街), Yingge Small Town (鶯歌鎮), and finally Yingge District of New Taipei City (新北市鶯歌區).
The main attraction in the town is Yingge Old Street (鶯歌陶瓷老街), sometimes called Yingge Ceramics Street or Yingge Pottery Street, and is a pedestrian shopping street specializing in ceramic arts, pottery, porcelain, and other related products ranging all price points.
Yingge is the largest center for ceramic production in Taiwan, with over 800 ceramic-related businesses in the area around Yingge Old Street.
New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum / 新北市立鶯歌陶瓷博物館 opened on November 26, 2000 and is Taiwan’s first ceramics-themed museum. It is dedicated to the research, curation, preservation, and maintenance of Taiwan’s ceramics culture and art while performing work in exhibition and education.
The permanent exhibits present five major themes:
- Traditional Pottery Techniques Hall
- Once they Were: Development of Taiwan Ceramics
- Pottery Town: History of Yingge
- Shuttle Through Time: Prehistoric/Aboriginal/Contemporary Ceramics
- Future Prediction: Industrial and High-tech Ceramics
Hidden away behind the Yingge Ceramics Museum the Yingge Ceramics Park / 鶯歌陶瓷藝術園區. Best visited on weekends when all the educational attractions are open, it has ceramics exhibitions, including some do it yourself opportunities, water features suitable for children, and quiet pleasant surroundings. It is accessible from the rear of the museum but make sure you get your wrist stamped if you wish to go back to the museum.

The pioneers, with their bursting creativity and strenuous determination, worked hard to make this town a prosperous center of ceramics design and production. The first modern ceramics museum in the nation combines the essence of the wisdom of industry, government, and scholars. It signals to the world that the fire in Yingge's kilns will never be extinguished. Here you will find masterpieces created with wind stoves, clay, and glazes, displayed in the hope that the beauty of Taiwanese ceramics will be recognized worldwide. We have a well-designed exhibition space for ceramic art to set a benchmark for other ceramic exhibitions in Taiwan to follow. Be it a personal trip or as part of a tour group, foreign visitors to the Museum can help local artists gain international visibility, as well as introducing the world Taiwan's ceramics beauty., said Yu Jan-chi (游冉琪), director of Yingge Ceramics Museum. Construction of the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum was first proposed in 1988, and it was opened to the public on November 26, 2000. In the twelve years that have passed since then, it has become the leading county museum in Taiwan and the first professional museum wholly dedicated to ceramics. In addition to exhibiting Taiwans ceramic culture, it also stimulates the public's interest in and attention to ceramics. While promoting the ceramic enterprises and local image of Yingge, the museum also encourages international culture exchange. 'Heart of Sanying' Artistic Park
On the reclaimed land along the Dahan River in Sanying city, the government of New Taipei City developed an art village, and built the Sanying Artistic Park in it by integrating Yingge Ceramics Museum and the Ceramics Old Street nearby.

愛上熊空 快樂遊
從三峽近郊沿著山路蜿蜒來到台灣農林熊空生態有機茶園 , 七百公尺山上遍植柳杉林, 一眼就可以看見遠處一壟壟有機清脆茶園 , 在雲霧間若隱若現 , 宛如人間仙境.....
沿著茶園人工步道拾階而上, 來到一處谷地 , 四周環境仍保留相當原始 , 長滿大量筆筒樹虎婆芋白蔥沐, 蝴蝶蜻蜓四處上下飛舞, 循著潺潺流水聲涉水前進 , 蛙鳴鳥叫聲不斷 , 小朋友好奇的問 ? 是甚麼聲音呀 ? 林間飛鼠野生獼猴在林間上下跳要覓食 , 一個不經意許多小動物就會出現您身邊呢 !

下午去家附近的鶯歌老街，看到騎馬的警察，促進觀光。 馬後跟了台三輪車，是沖馬尿、掃馬屎的。 我認識鶯歌老街快要三十年，以前柏油路，兩旁亂亂的房屋，經過人為的改造後，變成了假日時重要的經濟活動圈。2:39的地方黑馬忍不住尿尿了，3:25的地方白馬拉屎，還好沒多久，旁邊騎三輪車的小弟馬上來沖水清理。
原來我家隔壁假日時都可以看到騎馬的警察喔！
