Experiencing a striking bamboo forest. Took abt 45mints to reach Yixing from Nanjing by bullet train. From there got a private taxi for 110RMB (1100 /- INR) to reach Bamboo forest. Adult Ticket cost 80 RMB (800 /- INR) and cable car ticket cost 40RMB . Cable car was my favourite and its really worth. This place is actually 3hrs by road from Shanghai.

My Year Teaching in China & Travelling the World
I quit my job and run away to China to become an English Teacher.
I lived in Wuxi (Jiangsu), Yixing (Jiangsu) & Chengdu (Sichuan) and not only taught kindergarten but became a principal and then helped launch an international recruitment APP.
What a way to travel and experience one of the most intriguing & beautiful countries and cultures in the world.
I remember that before heading to China I had no idea what to expect, so hopefully, this makes it a little less scary for people!

Shunan's Bamboo Sea - 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’s iconic location | A China Icons Video
As 'Sword of Destiny', the sequel to 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', is released, China Icons brings you amazing drone and documentary footage from one of the original movie’s most iconic locations.
During the filming, baby-faced Zhang Ziyi and Chow Yun-Fat de-camped to China’s Shunan Bamboo Sea in Sichuan Province, SW China.
One of the largest bamboo forests in China, the Bamboo Sea is in Shunan Zhuhai National Park. It covers 120sq km and its bamboo is used in everything from cooking to furniture crafting.
Filming also took place in Anji Bamboo Forest, four hours drive from Shanghai and famous for White Tea.
With his leading actors performing martial arts in the bamboo tree-tops, Ang Lee was fulfilling his cinematic dreams. When the film was released in 2000, its legendary choreographer Yuen Woo-ping ('The Matrix'; 'Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow' and 'Drunken Master', both with Jackie Chan), described it as ‘probably the hardest scene I have ever done’, requiring him to more than double the amount of people in his team to make it happen.
His wirework wizardry sparked an international interest in wuxia martial arts films – where ancient Chinese warriors perform almost magical martial arts – and the film continues to be the highest grossing foreign film EVER in US box office history. Yuan Woo-ping returns to the set of 'Sword of Destiny' - this time as director.

Yixing Concept Plant and Ecological Complex project is located within the Central Circle New City Wetland Park, the total wetland park area of interest of about 6,000 acres, the development and construction phases. The project will serve as a central wetland park in phase, and use planning an area of about 1927 MUs (128.5 hectares ). The site is mainly composed of the field of farmland, rivers, artificial breeding pond and demolition site of the main village.
